Well, went there today for lunch. As usual the food was without fault. We've been here many times I've the years and I can honestly say it's fab. Food is great, prices are equally as good. Always a pleasure to visit

I recently visited this establishment with my partner for an afternoon meal and drink. Upon arrival I was pleased to see how quiet it was, so to have some quick service. Needless to say that didn't happen as I was stood at the bar for 15 mins to be served a drink. With drink eventually in hand, me and my partner selected our table and sat down to look at the menu. There was more food on the menu than in the kitchen..... pretty disgusting to be honest. I decided to go to the bar to ask for some clean menus and had a job leaving my table as I had to peel my arms off of it..... once again pretty disgusting! I managed to get back to the bar with my arms feeling like they were in preparation to be waxed and again waited to be assisted. I noticed someone at end of the bar who I believed to be the manageress of the establishment talking to who I believe to be a chef. They were deep in conversation and took no noticed of me stood at the bar waiting. I had to cough several times to get their attention and finally the manageress came over with a look that I had just rudely interrupted her. I politely asked for some clean menus to which she just huffed and got a wet rag, wiped them over passed them back to me then rushed off back to the end of the bar back to the chef she was obviously so keen on. I passed the menus to my partner to look at while I went back to the bar to order more drinks and once again had to peel the manageress off the chef in order to serve me. I felt very uncomfortable like I was just a nuisance asking for some service. I went back to my table with our drinks and it was at that point I decided not to order food. Just looking at the manageress and presumably head chef and the way they were with each other, actually made me want to be violently sick. The thought of him cooking my food and her serving it really wasn't appealing to me. God only knows what they get up to in the kitchen. Me and my partner finished our drinks and promptly left this seedy excuse for a pub. The manner of the staff, especially the manageress was an utter disgrace. I'm appalled by this behaviour and certainly will not be returning ever again. It felt more like a brothel than a pub! Everyone avoid at all costs!

Execrable experience!! I will never go there again. We were serviced onion bhajis with batter uncooked, coating burnt and raw coriander rice. One mouthful was enough for us to get out of there. Staff was good and apologetic but the chef was a egoistic ____.
