I've been there for a few times since I like the vibe and the food. There is a lot of comfort food well prepared. Last time my eggs benedict weren't runny as they should be though
I haven't been to other places, but I definitely recommend this one in the area. The breakfast was delicious!
medium size restaurant with upstairs seating in affluent part of Chelsea. good choice of dishes on menus. the staff are very nice and helpful and create a good atmosphere. it can get quite noisy sometimes in mornings with big groups of builders getting their grub. also is close to the stadium of Chelsea football club so can get rammed on match days. otherwise it's quiet and very comfortable place to eat and have chats
Great All Day breakfast especially when you swap toast for a magnificent fried slice and top off with a few chippies. Coffee is strong and tastes superb. Love sitting up the stairs as very light and airy although that part is not open until 11am I think. Very good value for money and a great weekend treat for Sandra and me. Aye.
I have been a few times when i have visited the Chelsea area, and it has generally been quite nice. A no-nonsense, unpretentious cafe. They must have changed the menu recently though, because i couldn't find the big breakfast i usually order. I had a big breakfast brunch instead and it was pretty disappointing. When you pay over £10 for a breakfast you expect quality ingredients and i did not receive them - the sausages and bread were particularly poor quality for the price. Very disappointing. On top of that, my girlfriend had breaded calamari rings and they were over-fried, almost burnt. In hindsight we should have sent them back. Also, I think the staff need cheering up. They always seem quite miserable and unhappy but maybe that's just when they serve me!! I don't want to mark too low because i have had ok food for the money in the past but these particular meals were really disappointing.
This place is great. The staff is the friendliest. Never disappoints. The food specially the Gourmet breakfast is delicious. Ice-cream shakes are proper American diner style. We come here mostly weekends.
Per other reviews a very authentic British cafe, which means the food is awful but nobody cares because it's filling and greasy and cheap. Since nowadays you can get traditional English breakfasts done really well at reasonable prices there's really no good reason to come here: unless you have made the mistake of visiting Chelsea on an empty stomach without being really, really rich.
Nice place to eat, lots of variety for breakfast. Enjoyed my poached eggs/chorizo, would recommend. Quite deceptive looks small on outside, but is actually quite big on inside, nice view and liked sitting upstairs.
Love it! Great english breakfast and different options, with a great price too. Although on Saturday the options shrink a bit, so go during the week and you will be able to enjoy it even more. Couldn't recommend it more!
Great value food with a nice rustic atmosphere.
