Spent more time trying to convince a new receptionist that knows nothing about medicine that my baby under 1 needs an appointment than the actual doctors appointment. You need to train your staff better. There first answer is always no. Every patient needs to first loose their temper before you start taking them seriously and provide actual help. Your making your own job harder in the future. Now I know what I need to do to get things done. Thanks. Doctor was great.
You just cannot get an appointment. If you do somehow manage to get an appointment, you will go in and see it empty. They just don’t want to help people. I would advise anybody against joining. I thought this was all Dr’s however other local surgeries seem to be fine.
The receptionists are usually quite friendly if you're friendly to them, I understand their spots of rudeness because of some people they deal with. Wait times are quite long, I've sat in the waiting room for 40-60 minutes after my appointment time on a few occasions which I wouldn't mind if it was worth the wait. The let down is some of the staff, mostly nurses, some GPs who constantly have "it's anxiety" as their reasoning for every issue. I went in with chest pain and was told I'm just anxious. A couple of days later I was in A&E with a blood clot in my lung. Since then I've had a few issues come up, chest pain, abdomen pain, chest flutters, blood when going to the toilet etc. Only one of these issues were dealt with very quickly, the others seems to be "well I don't know whats wrong....anxiety?" This isn't every GP, i've had the odd really nice one who genuinely wants to help. But it's the ones who seem to want an easy shift and don't care about their patients that let's the team down, unfortunately: Edit: added a star in my rating for my more recent experiences, the nurses and GPs that I have seen over the last year have been lovely and helpful, especially one doctor in particular has been very thorough and you can tell she cares a lot about her job and her patients !
I have been trying for two weeks now to make an appointment to see the gp, still nothing, walked in aswell, phoned up too , it’s just a waste of time . It is regarding to my blood tests, I want to have them done and nobody can help me out , wow it is incredible! Not even a star for that .

My father needed an appointment on Thursday of this week. Is under the Melbourne side, but fortunately was able to get an appointment at Chellaston side. A wonderful doctor David. Very efficient, took time to put my father at ease and was very understanding. Can't fault this surgery at all. Well done.
Been trying to see a Doctor for over a week the phone is a joke after a minute the phone says there a lot on phone and it hangs up, called in to be told the first 30 on line will get appointment,so finally I get in queue,but after 25 mins they answered and said no appointments today,I've been with this surgery for years,I'm desperate to find a new surgery it's very bad staff not helpful I have lots of medical problems
Staff on reception are really patronising and unhelpful and uncaring to say they are in a health care industry/ patient facing company, definitely changing my practice, the attitude of the front desk is not welcoming and the last thing you need when you need to see a doctor or care services is staff that are rude and not compassionate.
Literally impossible to book an appointment, both over the phone and online. E-Consult is no longer available either. Useless!
****THEY PUT YOU IN MEDICAL DANGER AND DO NOT SAFE GUARD THE DISABLED COMMUNITY **** I am disabled and have been ringing for an appointment to see the doctor for the past 12 weeks. The doctor I did eventually see asked me to book an appointment in 6 weeks time. That was over 3 and a half months ago and I am still unable to get an appointment. They do not care about my mental state or health. They say I have to call at 8am which I do but by the time they answer there are no appointments left. They say to come down to the surgery but I am disabled, I have no family or friends to rely on. They do not offer appointments in advance such as the day after. They only offer appointments for that day which are gone by 8:30am if your lucky enough to get through. This medical centre is putting people in MEDICAL DANGER and refusing to safe guard individuals and especially disabled individuals who cannot "turn up at 8am" They are not helping me or coming up with suggestions of how I can speak to a doctor or even book an appointment. I have been on hold now since 8am, that was 1 hour and 31 minutes ago. They are not safe guarding anyone, please do not register here. I have emailed, they refuse to help and tell me to turn up or call again tomorrow. They are delaying me getting diagnosed with other medical conditions which they are worsening by not even getting me an appointment to be diagnosed! I am in medical danger of this practise
