Nice sea front cafe. Great place for breakfast with a view. Family friendly. The staff are always very helpful. We had a little milk spill and the hostess, very kindly helped us out. The food was great and our hot drinks we spot on too. Definitely going again
Great located cafe with nice sea views, Lots of aircraft and boats out to watch. Went for the Penguin breakfast, great value at £7.50 including tea/coffee. Food came out quickly and was delicious and the staff were all fantastic. Unfortunately the coffee sucked, it was very weak and the epitome of free coffee so in future, I’d suggest the tea.
Great food. Friendly helpful staff. Several options for vegetarians. Dog friendly. It seems to always be busy here, which must mean they are good. Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie options. Veggie Breakfast, omelettes, jacket potatoes, etc Kid-friendliness: Smaller portions are available. Lots of soft drink options, cake and puddings. Dietary restrictions: Vegan, and gluten-free options available, including GF toast.
We come here for one of the English breakfast choices quite regularly. Food is good. The chef there is one of the few that can cook a fried egg to my liking i.e. the white cooked and the yolk runny. Uncooked white makes me heave. .Food: 5/5
Pretty sure i come here like every week because I addicted to the baps. The coffee is lovely too. Most of my money goes here and I am not ashamed. Great staff and I like penguins.
All day breakfast was ok..nothing special. More concerned about lack of hand hygiene. Several customers came in to purchase ice cream cones. Servers handled money mostly coins and immediately picked up cornets to fill with ice cream without washing hands. No more ice cream from The Penguin for my family & I.Food: 2/5
Our family have always driven to eat at the Penguin cafe, however we were so disappointed with the breakfast today, we won't return. Our eggs were hard and crispy, my tomatoes were tinned, but husbands saute potatoes were not sauted enough. The staff were really miserable! So disappointing.Food: 2/5
Timing of visit: Sunday 20/01/2019, 16:10-16:50. Order: A lemon-orange cake and a hot chocolate. Price: £5.00. Quality of cake: Excellent. Quality of beverage: Excellent. Staff: Polite. Cleanliness: The toilets for gentlemen were very well cleaned. Environment: Relaxing with nice view i.e. the sea.
Decent fry up with great views. Staff are friendly.Food: 5/5
Best veggie breakfast & coffee. My go to breakfast cafe. Love it!! Vegetarian options: Best ever sausages
