Great service here with nice friendly staff. They normally have quite a few children's shoes on sale which is great as paying full price for the shoes to be worn for a couple of months or so is fairly extortionate! I know some people do not mind paying 60 off quid.. I just think it is way to much and not needed. So a pair for 25/30 pounds is great. Especially as the last ones we got ripped after a couple weeks of her wearing them at nursery. I think half the time you are paying for a brand which I don't buy into.
I took my mother who is 85 and suffers from alzheimers and dementia to exchange the shoes I bought her for Xmas. A sales assistant called Jill helped us find the right replacement bring many items to try and help my mam get them on and off her feet and checking correcting fitting of each shoe and slippers. Jill couldn't have been more helpful. I am very grateful for her assistance she was great.
Top class shoe shop that sell top branded shoes and trainers. Good service established over 100 yrs ago. Still carrying some stock from that period.
The girl that served us was lovely Eve and she was very professional and helpful if it wasn't for her we wouldn't of purchased anything at all. Keep up the great work Eve! Sadly it's 1 star, as the customer experience from the other staff was absolutely abysmal. A woman in a blue t-shirt, with no name badge, was asked to serve us from a manager when we entered and we explained we had an appointment. She made it very clear that no she couldn't be bothered I can't remember what she mumbled but it was along the lines of 'not really' when she was politely asked from her manager and that she wanted her dinner as well before Eve had to serve us. The general demeanour of her presence instantly made me feel uncomfortable, and she came across rude and uninterested in her role throughout the entire time we were in store. Not hard to smile and say hello when a customer walks in to your store is it?
Went there today looking for some work shoes. My choice is very limited due to uniform standards but need something comfy as in my feet all day. Unfortunately this branch didn’t have my size of the shoes I’d picked. Jack was extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. He rang another branch to try to locate the shoes but they weren’t picking up. He took my number and rang me when he’d got through and reserved 2 pairs in different sizes for me at the other branch. I subsequently attended that branch and purchased the said shoes. Thank you Jack
Amazing service, recently visited to get my 1 year old child's first pair of shoes - the woman we were seen by was incredibly patient with us and with fitting shoes on a wriggly little boy! Store was very welcoming, 10/10 service and high quality shoes at reasonable prices. The 'first shoes' package is incredibly thoughtful and a lovely touch for a first experience!
Very poor. Urgently needed a pair of shoes for a funeral having found the sole on my Ecco shoes had fallen apart. Booked a 9am appointment through their website, arrived before 9 and waited patiently outside. 9am came and went and no one opened the store. Someone was pottering around doing a good job of ignoring the fact I was stood outside the door but didn't let me in. Given the urgency I had to be at the funeral at 10am, I gave up after 5 minutes of being ignored and 5 minutes after my appointment time. Instead I walked across Teesside Park to Clarks where I got great service and was walking out with a new £100 pair of smart shoes in less than 10 minutes. Clinkards used to be a go to for quality shoes and good service, not anymore.
Credit where its due, kids school Shoes shopping isn't really a nice day out for anyone, the young lad who helped us today was fab, measured up, tried a few pairs on kept them while we shopped around the park for other items, went back tried em on again and completed our transaction, you would have got a 5 star but the pounce and ticket us as we entered wasn't the best, we did need another pair of shoes, for a girl, we went elsewhere for these, as the Snappy nature of the ticketing assistant didn't float my boat.
Staff are always pleasant and helpful, we visited recently and had the pleasure of a member of staff called Hannah who was excellent and couldn't do enough, we purchased 4 pairs of shoes and got what we wanted. Shop is always nice and clean and staff are always impeccable.
