I accompanied a young man who is currently seeking assylum , and was in need of support. He’d been in a lot of pain and naturally anxious. The staff were amazing, students and their tutor. Very understanding, sympathetic, generous with their time to ensure he understood what was being said and done. Good use of a telephone interpreter and welcoming of me being present throughout, as a volunteer from Assist. Very professional throughout, a very positive experience.
If you don’t agree with dentist’s opinion, seek second opinion! I was told my jaw pain was due to stress, said it was temporomandibular disorder. I told the dentist teacher that I didn’t agree with their diagnosis, it was definitely not stress, as for weeks, not just days, I was unable to eat without pain, sleep without waking up crying and I had to take a lot of painkillers that rarely even helped. And yes, I do understand how stress can affect one’s body physically. I flew to a different country to get it checked privately and it was an infection that spread to the bone! I lost two teeth. I was told that I should have sued this dental hospital due to their incompetence. I am genuinely considering this now due to having lost two teeth. I’m autistic and couldn’t make enough fuss for your staff to actually pay enough attention to me. They wanted to get rid of me, their student seemed more concerned than their teacher. The name of the teacher is AMANY, if you ever get treated by her and you have concerns, do not wait, seek second opinion. Thank you for reading. If you’re working at this hospital and would like to see evidence of your staff member’s incorrect diagnosis, please respond to this comment, I’ll be more than happy to share.
2nd Visit for a surgical extraction would like to thank Claire, Ellie & Helen for an amazing Job yet again could not fault the service and I am nervous of Dentists !! Five star service yet again … Thank you to Oliver, Paul, Katie, Sophie & the team that allowed me to get an appointment so quickly & make me feel & ease. Lovely people, a great team and really appreciate your help !!
I went there as an extremely nervous patient to have my wisdom tooth removed. I was in severe pain and they managed to get me an appointment straight away. The students and dental staff were incredibly sympathetic, very caring and professional. Such an efficient dental hospital, no complaints.
My Daughter in law went for treatment. I know it's a student hospital, but the treatment she got was terrible. She has panic attacks was very scared and they let the students just butcher her, and the poor thing has to back for further treatment.
Went with referral from gp with my Autistic non verbal child ,the staff were fabulous with her, explained everything to me clearly, there were a few children before her turn ,but there were loads of staff and they all got seen incredibly quickly my child usually can't wait without getting very stressed in the end it was quite an easy process and got referred onto the treatment side of things hopefully very soon, as a family it's a huge issue to keep things running smoothly
Had a surgical tooth extraction here 2 days ago and cant recommend this place enough. Im a nervous dental patient but was instantly put at ease. The surgeon and 2 students who carried out the procedure were friendly, chatty and at times quite funny. The surgeon explained everything before we started and as we went along. It wasnt an easy extraction a tooth broken to the gum and refused to come out in 1 piece and took an hour in total but it was totally pain free and I felt very reassured that I was in good hands. Thank you Charles Clifford dental hospital for a really good experience.
They didn't spare me because I didn't know much English, nor did they allow my wife to translate and they sent me away, that's discrimination from the doctor
Whilst the staff are nice the treatment can be up to 2 hours for a simple examination, including all kinds of probing, photography and things that make your mouth sore/ache. Not suitable if you are disabled or have chronic illness due to strict non attendance policy they will literally leave you with work half finished. Very annoyed that I was discharged as had to cancel a couple of appointments due to various chronic conditions. On my last appointment I tested positive for COVID, despite there being a very clear text message to NOT ATTEND even if you have symptoms. Still have half finished work and a filling THEY did that has a fissure!!!
Visited yesterday with a friend. Got a phobia around dentist, which my friend is aware of. Sat in the waiting room on the first floor while my friend was in seeing the dentist. One of the nurses came out and said for me to go into my friend. When I said I couldn't she went back into my friend and said to her that I wasn't being very helpful. My friend said it wasn't her idea for them to come and get me in the first place My friend gets anxious while in the dentist If I find out what they call that nurse I will take the matter further. I have only given one star as it won't let me post without 1
