The library has activity sheets/colouring for the children to do. Librarian always so welcoming; engages and encourages children visiting. Great help to find books my eldest is currently interested in.
Very good library. The staff are extremely helpful and always have time for you - they've helped me a lot.
A great library. Not that big but a brilliant resource for the local community. Lovely staff as well.
Great Place. Excellent space and resources. Extremely friendly and very helpful staff. Always a pleasure to visit. Internet, printing, scanner, photocopier services are a major benefit and very useful. Staff always helpful and pleasant. A great asset to the community.
Ludicrously good! A vital indoor activity & education centre for chapletown, welcoming for kids with all the usual library assets for everyone and hosts regular and varied group activities. So glad they have diversified away from the archetypal silent rooms filled with resentful glares :p Good job, keep it up!
Taken my books back today as a new member first time in doing this - all done digitally but very easy to follow directions - and had a proper look round at the books - so glad I have joined
My son has been attending Rachael's Thursday morning toddler group with nanan. He has come on leaps and bounds in his development and really enjoys the interaction with the other children and Rachael. I hope these session's continue as he's already missed out on so much through the lockdowns.
Ludicrous library. It is child & parent orientated and is worse than a zoo. Parents seem to use this library to meet with their friends & then let their brats run wild. Staff ignore this! Used to use this library for job search & on one occasion a teacher brought in a large group of kids & proceeded to tell them a story at the TOP of her voice. After the story ended, these kids were running wild for around 20 minutes. It was like being in a playground. It REALLY was! I was fuming and stormed out as I couldn’t take any more even though I had another 1hr25mins left! Funnily enough, I thought "classrooms" were intended for teaching children, so why do they have to use libraries? Why have taxes been used to build schools if they will then leave a classroom ‘empty’ & then bring an unacceptable amount of children into a library & allow them to behave like animals? Respect costs nothing. Maybe people should be getting a tax rebate if they leave classrooms empty which tax payers funded in the FIRST place! When I complained to the Town Hall about this behaviour, they excused this by saying something like that children need to be allowed to develop. In other words, like it or flamin’ lump it! Well, I never used the library again. Why can’t parents show respect and NOT use this as a meeting place to meet OTHER parents and to carry on loud conversations whilst having NO respect for other library users? And, more importantly, why allow their kids to run wild in the library when they should be doing this ‘IN’ their own homes and show respect in ‘public places’ where people are trying to use the library & Internet for serious purposes? What happened to libraries where they give warnings to people on mobiles and to people who are talking loudly and causing disruption? In this library, there are NO rules. WORST LIBRARY EVER. A lot of libraries are closing, well this one CERTAINLY wouldn’t be missed. ZERO STARS!
Good place. Can reserve books and easily accessible. Quick and easy inside. Very friendly librarians.
Fantastic library with great helpful employees
