Amazing service today at chadderton bar and grill, food was exceptional everything fresh, nice and hot and tasted amazing. Cocktails were also refreshing and tasty, staff are friendly and welcoming. Thankyou for a great day. 5* service
Went here last night for a birthday party. The restaurant is quite nice but with a weird mix of aesthetics. We were seated promptly and staff introduced themselves. We ordered food and drinks and continued to wait. The serving time until our starters was very long and the time between starters and mains was even longer. We must have been waiting over an hour from entry to main course. They proceeded to forget one of our meals and 2 sides. Food portions are quite large but the menu is also quite expensive. I took a trip to the toilets which are up 2 flights of stairs. We waited even longer to be offered desert and even longer to pay the bill. We must have been in there for 3 hours plus and one of the last parties to leave but by no means of our own!
This place was lovely. The food was delicious and fresh. The staff were so friendly. The kitchen and sitting was spotlessly clean. Fantastic tasty food.
This is a lovely place for a meal. The staff are very friendly and likeable. The food choices are many and varied. I went on a very busy night so service was a little slower than I would have liked but staff were clearly very busy and doing their very best.Food: 4/5
After booking was so looking forwards to the visit, Arrived 7.30 Friday evening to hardley any other diners thought strange but there were 4 of us so someone to chat to, the starters arrived and were very nice, BUT the mains! I ordered gammon well done with fat brown it arrived with flabby white fat nicely presented but so off putting , the server took it back were they proceeded to cut off fat and crisp it then back on plate! despite having a steak knife I couldn't even cut through the gammon turned it over looked like it hadn't even touched griddle/ grill, 1 other guest had Linguine said no taste at all, the 2 other guest's said their food was just OK, shame really, As my job was a chef before I retired maybe the chef needs reminding food needs to taste good as well as looking good, Parking: Round back plenty room,
We used to live a bit closer to this place and would come here about a year or so ago. We really enjoyed the experience and so thought we would make the longer journey to go again. We've had the lamb shank a few times now, and let me tell you - the first time we went, we simply tapped the bone and all of the meat fell off. It was beautiful. This time, it was different. We arrived and the venue looks even more beautiful than I remember. They'd had a makeover of the outside and it really worked. We'd made a reservation for 6pm. We walked in and a walk in table of 4 was before us. They were kindly asked to wait in the bar area before being seated, tables weren't ready yet as it was a busy Saturday evening so we expected this. We came to the desk to let then know we have a reservation, the server said "Have a drink" and pointed at the bar. A little less tact than the previous group was told. OK, no biggie. So, we went to the bar where there was just one server on, and she was also making the drinks for all of the tables too, so we understood the delay. We ordered a bottle of wine, which arrived as soon as the server did to collect us. He picked up the bottle and showed us to a table, and we were given a menu. We pretty much knew what we were going to have anyways, so just waited for a server to take our order. And waited. And waited. Eventually our order was taken - we ordered 2 lamb shanks and some onion rings. The food came pretty quickly compared to our order being taken, and we ordered another bottle. Upon beginning the meal, we realised that the standard was nowhere near what it was when we came a year ago. The meat was a lot tougher, and the mash was quite lumpy. All in all, it was still very tasty, just not what I remember. We then waited quite a while before our plates were cleared and could order dessert. The dessert was actually pretty darn good - a red velvet cheesecake. The whole bill came to about £60 including a small tip - I can't complain at that. 2 meals, 2 bottles of wine and a dessert. Overall the meal was OK, but I wouldn't make a special trip out again for it. It cost us nearly £30 to get there and back. A shame, because this place used to be something really special.
Friday night near empty, starters ok, Mains looked the part shame they didn't taste as good as they looked, I asked for gammon well done no white fat arrived with flabby white fat sent back for more cooking they cut off fat and just cooked that, then even though I had a steak knife just couldn't cut the gammon. Another person had linguine with no taste at all, shame the place looks the part and food plated up nicely, sadly can't see us returning,
Was put in a corner and left for over 30 mins no one asked if we wanted a drink had to go to the bar so that could get a drink and order our food. Food was very dry and over cooked did not have anything good about our experience and couldn’t wait to leave. Poor quality and service and everything over priced for what we received. Will definitely not be going back. Wheelchair accessibility: Not very good disability access
Great food, great atmosphere and excellent staff. Highly recommended Parking: Big car park behind restaurant, though we taxied it there for a change, so we all could enjoy a drink.
