Excellent B&B with newly renovated rooms Alan is an excellent host and has spent the last 6 years renovating all the rooms to a very high standard. I would liken this to a very good Boutique B&B. The attention to detail is superb. We were the first guests to stay in the newly renovated sea view room and it's definitely worth the extra money. All rooms are en-suite and beautifully decorated. Our room benefited from a small fridge, tea making facilities, a safe and a small table & 2 chairs in the bay window. There is a choice of breakfast which you pre-order the night before so is customised to your requirements. Caythorpe House is situated a short walk from the beach, Swanage steam railway and the quaint town centre. Would definitely come again.

Excellent b&b. Warm welcome from Alan who is very knowledgeable about Swanage. Perfectly situated for town and beach and railway. Superb breakfast choices and extremely comfortable bed. Looking forward to visiting Alan again in April after his renovations this winter. Already booked.

Had a wonderful stay. Helpful friendly, always felt at home. My mother has limited mobility so this was an ideal location, close to train, town and the beach. My sister even managed a swim before breakfast. Will be going back next year if they have space. Many other guests stay regularly so we might even meet them again.

Great location. Clean room. Great breakfast. Mediocre shower. Friendly staff. If I was picking, it would be nice to have a small fridge but otherwise great place to stay!
