We visited the restaurant for dinner and were not disappointed. From the welcome when we arrived to our departure, the whole experience of this venue was fabulous. We all thought that each member of staff were great and really had time for you. The menu offered a good range of choice and fairly priced for the standard of food we had. The steaks were cooked to perfection and the salmon cooked just how we liked it. The ambience and setting were just great. We will definitely be back but this to try out the Sunday lunch....
We had the Verney room and took our dog. Room was quite small as explained, but really quirky. We liked it alot. Bed was a little uncomfortable. Breakfast items in the room were good. We had a fantastic Sunday roast in the restaurant, and our table overlooked the magnificent views. Service was 5* and the food was spectacular. We walked with our dog into and around Edgehill. Excellent value for the room rate, to stay in a castle! Really enjoyed it. Rooms: They have various rooms and 2 of their rooms will take a dog. Walkability: Can walk right from the castle. Circular walk available. Woodland etc. Food & drinks: The Sunday roast was awesome! Beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Our table overlooked the magnificent views! The local Gin & tonicceas amazing!
Fantastic stay in the main suite- I think the Cromwell! What a gorgeous stunning big room, was such a lovely treat. Hotel staff were very accommodating and good natured- dealt with Mario or was it Darius sorry was a month ago who was a lovely chap. I managed to lose the keys and they were later found but the hotel were very nice about it all. Food downstairs was amazing. My only single complaint is the coffee in the room is undrinkable. Next time and I very much hope there is I will bring my own
Really nice location, the restaurant was quiet and well arranged. The staff were professional, friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and if you don't order anything else, order the cheesecake - it was the best I've ever had!
Went for dinner and expected far more than was delivered. The setting is lovely of course and the service was friendly and efficient. However, we felt rushed. Courses arriving mere moments after we ordered. The staff were good but the menu lacked any imagination. Really needed a few interesting dishes that went beyond the standard pub grub. Pop music was playing quite loudly on arrival for a Saturday evening dinner. The glassware was poor and clunky lacking any elegance. The cutlery too felt thin and a bit cheap. Real shame as we'd hoped for more.
Lovely room, although you could hear people walking around upstairs but didn’t really bother us. Staff were excellent from start to finish. Food was incredible too, if we’re in the area again we would definitely come back! Rooms: Great character features! Food & drinks: Really amazing food!
Had my wedding there on the 3rd march 2023, the staff and organiser were next level, made everything effortless and stressfree. Many of my guests including me and my new wife said it's some of the best food they have ever had! What more do you need? I couldn't recommend this venue enough for a wedding or even just a spot of lunch, With fantastic staff, brilliant views and even better food they have you covered!
The Castle at Edgehill is an amazing historical building with a wonderful glass house & outside seating area with beautiful panoramic views. The food is absolutely delicious & the staff are very engaging, helpful & good at their job. The Cromwell suite was wonderful with a comfortable, spacious, warm & cosy separate lounge area & bedroom. We throughly enjoyed our stay here & would definitely recommend a visit. It took a bit of getting used to not having a frosted window or blind in the bathroom even though you couldn't possibly be overlooked.
Had a wonderful dinner for their weekly Steak night. The view was stunning and the staff were really friendly. Good value as well, we will definitely be back!
Stayed here for our anniversary and it was lovely! Hotel staff and restaurant staff were really lovely, friendly and couldn't have been any more accomodating. Would highly recommend to stay and the food at the onsite restaurant both dinner and the included breakfast is amazing! Free WiFi, tea, coffee, orange juice and water supplied in the room Food & drinks: Great onside restaurant
