First of all I didn't stay here I had a few beers downstairs but it was still good. The service was great, the location was good and I'm pleased we finally managed to get there during opening hours. The building is quaint but lovely and choice of drinks is unique. There is a fireplace but it wasn't lit/on during my visitRooms: 3/5
Lovely room and a great view. The only down side for us was the noise from the pub downstairs.Rooms: 5/5
Stayed great on a whim due to camping disaster ..very friendly on arrival and helpful with recommendations for evening meal. Room was pretty standard but clean apart from some unknown marks on toilet seat ..has to wipe it myself before use. Seems the stairs window was left open and could literally hear all the other bedroom doors knocking from around 4am . Had the push the bedroom chair against it to try and get some sleep. Very creaky bed and not the best . Sorry but not for us . Especially at the extortionate price of £160 with no breakfast.unless u want to pay 7.50 each for a cold one. Would not recommend at all.. 2 stars I feel is generous but the 3 for the guy who checked us in as he seemed like a genuinely nice man. Rooms: Basic but clean apart form loo seat .. not worth the money at all Noteworthy details: Check all options before checking in ..far too expensive for something so basic
a great place for walks and relaxation, wonderful views, I highly recommend it
Stayed one night on a business trip. The room was roughly £140 for the night and didn't include breakfast The room was nicely decorated and clean. Although there are some dodgy stains on the carpet and the window had a venetian blind not curtains. The shower was good, although the extractor fan wasn't working. Scored low on location as well because you could tell that South St was a fairly rough area. The smell of Cannabis as I walked to Tesco was very strong. There is no dedicated parking, so I parked on the street. Thankfully, all my wheels, windows, and paintwork were untouched. I would definitely not stay here again.
Stayed for two nights. Very expensive for a room above a pub. No hot food available. Cold continental breakfast for £7.50. Strong smell of cannabis when we arrived. Pub looked OK. Just a wet room full of men. Got shown to our room. Tbf, it was spacious and looked clean enough. Street View, NOT sea view... 21' TV mounted nearly on the ceiling. Very dodgy aerial connection. No good if you want to plug firestick in for Netflix. Would I recommend? SORRY. NO I wouldn't. Not for £160 per night. Plus there's nothing at all to do in Aberystwyth. A place I'll never return.
My partner and I really loved it here . A genuinely lovely place to stay. The barman who greeted us couldn't have been more welcoming. The rooms were extremely comfortable. Definitely recommend Rooms: 5/5
We received a warm welcome when we arrived at the hotel and the room on first impressions looked really nice. Parking was a bit of a nightmare and we spent roughly 45 mins trying to find a parking space. We stayed for two nights in a twin room with sea view and we did have a couple of issues - the lights appeared to have a loose wire or something was wrong as they kept going on and off and flickering. We did mention this but there wasn't really any attempt to find what the problem was. The bathroom did not have any windows and to be plunged into darkness while in the shower or toilet is a bit disconcerting!! The shower was good but the temperature dial wasnt working so we couldn't regulate the heat and was rather hot. Pillows were wafer thin I had to fold both of mine in half! I would stay at the hotel again but not at a cost of £175 a night. I would have expected a better quality for that amount of money and a breakfast included. The breakfast option was a continental breakfast served in your room for an additional £7.50 and I think this should be included in the price. Overall enjoyed the stay just didn't feel was value for money
Overall, a good value stay in a pretty central location. There is parking in the street nearby, but it can be a bit of a challenge to get a slot. Staff did enquire about whether i had managed to find somewhere. Stayed in a top floor room you'll need to negotiate stairs. Checked in during the afternoon and the friendly staff took us up. The room itself was clean and reasonably well appointed. Pillows a bit small. Had a radiator that was very hot, although this went off at some point overnight. Hairdryer was a bit tepid. TV is a bit small and very high up, and struggled with signal a bit at points it was super windy, but otherwise just fine. Shower was great and good towels. Bring your own shampoo though. It was a bit noisy from the bar when I had the window open Wales was playing!, but otherwise no real issues with noise. No staff on site overnight, but that wasn't an issue. No food available, but happy to direct to local eateries
Very friendly and welcoming staff, neat bar with a pleasant atmosphere. A short walk to the beach. The room was very clean and modern with a lovely view of the sea. Enjoyed my stay would recommend it to family and friends.Rooms: 4/5
