Garden Centre and Coffee Shop

Story

We sell a large range of plants, shrubs and trees along with a large stock of composts and fertilisers. We have all sorts of garden accessories and ornaments, gift items and gardening tools to help you make the most of your garden all year round.

We also carry a great range of terracotta and glazed pots.

We now have a new range of Chapelwood birdcare products and bird food as well as our usual stock of large bags of bird seed.

The shop has a great range of greetings cards and other items supplied through British Archway cards.

Our tea room / coffee shop serves home baked cakes and scones in addition to light snacks such as paninis, toasties and filled rolls and there's ample free parking.

But what really makes Castle Douglas Garden Centre and Coffee Shop so special is the warm welcome everyone receives when they call in to browse, shop, ask advice or simply enjoy a cuppa or light snack.

We stopped here for a scottish breakfast, and wasn't disappointed. Everything was fresh and tasted wonderful. Good parking Walked through the small garden centre. It had a small array of plants and wreaths outside reasonable priced. You walk through the door into a cosy area which had an assortment of garden stuff as well as gifts and cards. A family feel to this garden centre
Popped in for a coffee and a scone. Enjoyed both, the scone - fruit - was particularly good. Didn't pay much attention to the garden plants and sundries, so unable to make a useful comment. Parking is available.
Very nice coffee shop. I had a toastie and himself a panini, both were very tasty. Coffee and cake followed. Good selection of cakes and tray bakes, was spoilt for choice. We got some super bedding plants from here last summer, very strong plants that lasted well into autumn with lots of colour. We'll definitely be back for more this year
Really nice little garden centre with a lovely selection of plants and reasonably priced. Had lunch in the coffee shop too - food was lovely - will definitely be back.
Excellent family run garden centre cafe is a must!. Always on hand to give valuable advice, quality of plants is first rate and I've never had one fail during the three years I've been shopping here. Also provide free local delivery so for those of us without cars that's invaluable.
Good service and food, their hot chocolates and their soups are delicious! The area looks very clean and it is a good place to buy flowers and flowerpots for people who like gardening. Overall a very nice place to visit.

Very impressed with the help and advice from Ross and the service provided. Would highly recommend this garden centre. The order I placed was special as it was for my mother's birthday and being able to order from quite an extensive plant list was really helpful, as was the advice received before the order was confirmed. Plants were delivered very quickly and were of good quality. Thanks to all.
Small Garden centre but full of things you might need. I needed some bamboo poles and phoned up first to check if they had any and the woman who answered was happy to check for me, telling me what sizes and prices they were. When i went down she was very polite and nice! The cafe is also very nice and affordable and being open 5 days a week means its always there when you need it. There is always nice soup when I have been and there is a good variety on the menu.
Had panini and chips etc and lovely hot chocolate. Staff very friendly. Nice lunch.
