Very interesting and unique building with fascinating architecture and history. The tour guide provided a lot of information about the building, the family and the history of the general area. It’s great to hear how the entire estate has been used and divide through time.
To be honest the reviews up here speak volumes about the house. So I'll just agree with them. Absolutely fantastic place to visit our guide Davey was amazing with indept knowledge and facts. It's quite incredible that more Dubs don't know about the house. Highly recommended a visit.
Today for our September monthly tour we visited the OPW site Marino Casino, eleven members travelled. Our tour guide Martin was an expert on his subject and despite it being a relatively small house compared to some of the stately Houses and Castle’s that we recently visited it has an extensive history and it’s architecture is fabulous . It is a free tour and I have no hesitation in recommending a visit to it.
We visited Marino Casino today as part of Heritage week. The tour was really interesting and our guide Damien was excellent. It is well worth a visit.
Absolutely stunning piece of architecture, definitely worth the visit, tours are free during 2022. Free roaming tours and guided tours are available everyday, our tour guide Damien was excellent, so informative, warm and welcoming, definitely would recommend!
I really enjoyed my visit yesterday. Even though I arrived when a tour was already ongoing, I’ve been included in the tour and Damian who gave the tour was so nice! The house itself was beautiful and I loved to learn about all the details that made it so special. I highly recommend to go and visit.
Great tour with Damian. He was lively and entertaining as well as informative. The Casino is a hidden gem in Dublin but it's well worth a few hours of any heritage-lover's time.
Always admired this building from afar. Booked a free tour and was delighted to get to see inside it. 16 very small rooms inside.
This is definitely a hidden gem of Dublin . I would highly recommend taking a detour to see this. It’s unique architecture and mind blowing tardis effects will leave you with strong memories of the place. Definitely a must for any budding amateur historians. The tour guide did an excellent job of bringing the history to life understanding what the place was used for and how it connected to the local economy.
Sadly the Casino Marino was closed for renovations when I visited. The Casino is cordoned off and you cannot gain access. It is easily accessible as it’s on a main road, the Malahide road, into the city center. Several bus routes, route 14, 15, 27, 42 and 43, pass by the entrance every few minutes. Check the OPW, Office of Public Works website, to see when the Casino Marino is due to reopen.
