Logan’s Bar and Restaurant, which guarantees a first class experience for all guests, with an excellent selection of finely, selected wines. Recently refurbished, The Carlton Hotel offers, a modern bold hotel, which can cater to everyone’s needs whether the wedding venue that you have always dreamed off, the function suite for that special event or a fantastic meal.

Carlton Hotel is part of the RAD Group, owned by Robert and Vivian Kyle who pride them on a high standard of service and well known for attention to detail. The RAD group also have ownership of the Shawlands Park Hotel Larkhall, Royal Hotel Cumnock and Lochside Hotel and Spa.

Attended a wedding at the hotel and it was magnificent. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Meals were excellent and two waitresses entertained us after the meal. We stayed overnight and the room we had was very comfortable. Good breakfast choices and overall good quality hotel. Only downside was the prices at the reception but, I suppose it's the same everywhere.
Lovely corporate type hotel. Most definitely a focus on weddings and functions. Room nice, bit small for price and very warm. Fan provided but really a wee bit of air con would have been nice. Lack of information from reception, could have been better. Handy enough and easy to jump on a bus. Bit noisy due to wedding in full flow. Would I stay again, for the price possibly not! Breakfast swift and decent enough choice.
Stayed 16/08/24nThe hotel is gorgeous our room was lovely, clean and comfortable, the staff are so warm and friendly and couldn't do enough for us, well we had dinner what can I say it was delicious and plentiful we had no room left for dessert so I asked if we could have a doggy bag which was no trouble at all, I'm so glad I did we ate it later chocolate fudge cake yum.nWe would definitely recommend the Carleton Hotel 5* from us, we will return
Had our Wedding at the Carlton Hotel in February 2024, the day was amazing with no hiccups. My wedding rep was amazing. The food was amazing couldn’t fault anything. The grounds were perfect for professional photos especially by the band stand. I would however recommend, should you require lights around the bandstand for evening photos, ensure you arrange for lights to be places on the roof. This is the only thing I was disappointed with, I was expecting there to be lights so never arranged for any to be placed on the roof. There is however lights across the trees which is just as nice with sparklers. The honeymoon suite was beautiful however the bath needs to have a new plug as you need to use a sucker to empty the water. Was funny at the time.nThe staff however were amazing and so friendly. I highly recommend the Carlton for your wedding.
We had my mum’s funeral reception here, it was really important for us as she had absolutely loved going to the Carlton at any opportunity.nnThe staff really went out their way to meet our requests and make the event special. We had items for a display table with memories for my mum, and we were a bit worried about setting it up before the guests arrived after the cemetery. But when we got there, the staff had already set it out really beautifully and were ready to welcome everyone. It made the whole even stress free and enjoyable despite the occasion.nnWe had requested the food they provide be high tea themed as it was something my mum had loved. We were REALLY happy with when the provided for us on the day. Even when everyone left they gathered the leftover cakes on a table with boxes for people to take home.nnIf I hadn’t had to leave the country on a flight soon afterwards I would have popped back in to thank the staff for all they did.
