Friendly receptionist and GP staff in my experience.nnVery clean doctor surgery.nnThe GPs I’ve come into contact with at this practice have been helpful. nnThere is a toilet and a pharmacy located inside which can get very busy.nnThere are weighing scales to check your BMI which is good! I have never used it before but some type of coin can be given at reception to use the machine.
I banged my head on my under stairs cupboard. A huge bump appeared on my head and I felt very dizzy and sick. I definitely gave myself a concussion. I iced my head for two hours before walking down to the doctors as I luckily live nearby. I got there and I asked if I could be checked over as it was a HEAD INJURY. I had an hour until I needed to go pick up my children in Shanklin from school. So I knew I’d have to drive.nnThe receptionist said we don’t do head injuries here you’ll have to go to A&E. I was just shocked. I was like you can clearly see that I have a huge bump on my head, I’ve told you I’ve hurt it and you’re sending me away!!nThe walk home was a very confused, slow and dizzy one.nnLuckily I managed to get someone to get my children so I didn’t have to drive. I didn’t go to A&E because I thought well the doctors didn’t care that I had a head injury enough to check me out so I’m not gonna waste time going to the hospital.nnI’ve had a headache everyday for a week and a bit afterwards but otherwise am okay.nnJust still in shock of how I was treated as is everyone else I have told.n10/10/2025
Nursing and Doctors staff are genuinely kind and helpful, but the reception staff are genuinely incompetent and could be far more thorough when booking appointments, as I had been booked in without my knowledge or a confirmation text, had to call again to book in and was then told of this ‘appointment’ which I couldn’t attend and had to reschedule. They also booked me in with the wrong practitioner who didn’t specialise in my ailment but rather provided methods to treat symptoms.. I’d seen them before and whilst very knowledgeable and kind could not help me. I ended up leaving 5 minutes into the appointment after the kind nurse booked me in with the appropriate practitioner. This poor nurses time was wasted and a person who ACTUALLY needed her help has now gone without due to the neglect of the reception staff. My time, the nurses time and a person who could’ve used it - wasted. Thank you again to the kind nurse, you went out of your way and job role to correct a mistake not made by you!nnReceptions service needs to be improved.
Antidepressants or painkillers are their solution to all ailments. Every interaction I am always disappointed and frastratednI never use the service now there is not trust or confidence left in them from me
Absolutely dreadful. My husband who is terminally ill has just received an email saying thankyou for attending his appointment. There is no way shape or form he could have attends this. Also I requested a visit at home for him last Thursday and was told all visits have been done and they could not send anybody to him. They offered an emergency visit for the next day!!!! How bad is that. I rang 111 and they came 15 minutes later thank goodnesses.
