I recently visited Carbase with my dad as I was in the market for a Toyota Corolla Hybrid. Initially, I was 50/50 about making the purchase. However, my experience with Moe completely changed that. From the moment we began speaking, Moe’s professionalism, knowledge, and approachable demeanor stood out. He wasn’t just trying to sell me a car he genuinely wanted to help me make the best decision. Moe’s understanding of the car and the services that Carbase provides was exceptional. He patiently explained the benefits of the Toyota Corolla Hybrid and why buying from Carbase would be a smart choice. Over the last couple of months, I’ve visited several dealerships, but none of them provided the reassurance or depth of knowledge that Moe did. He took the time to address all my concerns and answered every question thoroughly, leaving no doubt in my mind. One thing I particularly appreciated was how Moe made the entire process feel easy and stress-free. I usually get quite nervous about making big purchases, which is why I brought my dad along for support. But thanks to Moe’s calm and clear communication, I felt confident in my decision to move forward. His explanation of the terms and conditions and the services offered was incredibly clear, which was a refreshing change from the vague or rushed information I’d received elsewhere. What really set him apart was his no-pressure approach something that’s rare in sales. Beyond Moe, the entire Carbase experience was impressive. The dealership has a spacious, open layout that makes it easy to browse their extensive range of cars. The modern waiting area is stylish and comfortable, with the added touch of offering tea and coffee to visitors a small gesture that goes a long way in creating a welcoming atmosphere. Thanks to Moe and the overall experience at Carbase, I left feeling confident and satisfied with my decision to buy the car. I can’t recommend Carbase and Moe in particular enough to anyone in the market for a vehicle. If you’re looking for excellent customer service, genuine advice, and a dealership you can trust, this is the place to go.
Please read before purchasing a car from Carbase!!nnMe and my wife recently purchased a car from Carbase in Bristol, and we were in true disbelief of some of the things that they said and some things they are doing.nnAfter arriving to meet a very nice lady called Tara she was great and this is no way he wrong doing we where going through the basic things when purchasing a car like trying to be sold paint and interior protection, Wheel protection and extended warranty which I very politely declined and stated “it’s not really my thing” the car was being used as a run around for my wife and something a little bigger than what we had so paying hundreds of pounds for these things just aren’t necessary. Either way we proceeded with the part exchange of our car and was waiting for the value back from “the boss” that they might offer us in part exchange which I had already checked on their website after hand a very disgusting man appeared called James I believe, the offer come back at £2300 less than originally quoted. Now this wasn’t a huge problem as I understand there are so many hidden things to part exchange a car but what really bothered me was when I said I’m paying for our new car outright and not on finance this “James” asked me “Where did you get your money from? Was it a loan?” we felt like we were being stereotyped and felt disgusted.nnI then had to sit down at this “James” desk so i could pay for my new vehicle and before arranging payment he insisted that he try and sell us the same things that the nice lady Tried to sell us a while before but this time wanting the ins and out of why I’m not purchasing it from him. After getting into a heated discussion on the law on used car warranty it had to say to him that I “agree to disagree” with him and carbase trying to sell honest costumers “extended warranty for the full value of the vehicle” for £299 when in fact it’s a legal obligation that they give 6 months warranty for the value of the car and not charge customers for it! The mandatory warranty they offer is 3 months and up to £500 which is a complete joke! I can’t believe that they are doing this to people’s conscience!nnNow I’m not really a person for “Outing” but I’ve been thinking about this for the last few days and I don’t feel great knowing that there are so many people going there buying cars not knowing their rights and buying from a trader.nnMy next move is to report them to trading standards and the motor ombudsman.
I purchased a Ford Focus from Carbase in August 2024, I had the engine management light come on recently and contacted the after sales service centre.nMike Kelly and his team have been brilliant. Mike is so approachable and his friendly customer focused personality has made the whole repair experience stress free.nBuying a used car can be a gamble but with after sales service like this it takes the risk away.nA big thank you to Mike and his team!
Awful experience! Avoid at all costs!nnWe needed a car for the summer so decided to go with car base thinking that being a big dealership, we’d get protection if anything went wrong. Unfortunately, we’ve had the opposite experience. We were convinced to take out over £6000 in finance, including paying £250 for warranty, and within a couple of months the car started having problems. It needed a new catalytic converter. We tried to return the car and they told us they would buy it back off us for just £2000, meaning we’d have to find £4000 ourselves to pay off the finance!! This wasn’t an option so we decided to stick with the car and hope for the best. Unsurprisingly, a few months later we had more issues and the exhaust completely fell off. The garage told us this will cost £650 and that it is unlikely our warranty will cover the cost as they will likely claimn‘Wear and tear’. We are now completely car-less as we wait for this to be fixed, still paying out over £180 on finance every month and with no option but to continue paying! We feel completely ripped off by car base and have no idea how to get ourselves out of the financial situation we’re in as a result of being sold an overpriced, faulty car.
John at Carbase provided excellent service. Down to earth and understood our needs. All staff have been great and all working hard. Thank you. We now have a great new car.
