The staff, foremost, are amazing. Very welcoming environment becoming of its name! The detail to have playing cards as our tickets was equally cute and sustainable. Go see a shoe and support them!
A very important cultural landmark, championing Fringe theatre from around the world. Defo recommend going, there'll be something for you, 100%!
A small theatre, and the name says it all - a people's theatre. It's so great that such places are present to support theatre and talent. Was there for the first time few weeks back, to watch 'The Drowning Girls' by Ranga Jayaratne, and loved the ambience of the theatre that added life to the play! Will be there more often to support! Staff were indeed so helpful and friendly.
Great hidden gem, they have some good shows on and are very friendly
People are constantly congregating outside after close and finishing their drinks whilst making noise. Please ensure your clientele respect local residents and keep the noise down late on weeknights or better yet, please ensure that they QUIETLY move on after closing time. I’m sure your licence may be dependent upon the same…
A valuable part of our cultural history! And a great central venue putting on innovative programming. Surviving despite the abysmal arts funding cuts
Thanks for CPT’s reply to my previous message! I would like to change my review now. I hope the situation can be improved after investigation and communication, and I’m looking forward to coming back and enjoying an inclusive creative environment at CPT in the future. Below’s my original comment: This is my first time visiting Camden People’s Theatre and I was super excited at first. All the female staff and technicians were extremely kind and helpful. However, there was a white middle aged front of house guy acted very aggressive to my friends who are of global majority background. As an Asian performer, I was very interested in applying to perform here before, but now I’m not feeling safe and comfortable about this space anymore. It’s such a shame I can’t enjoy this place with all the interesting programmes.
Awesome local theatre. Aww Mattie May there a couple of weeks ago. Would definitely go again to see other local shows.
Intimate theatre space that doesn't have you squinting to see the stage and therefore words for actors addressing the audience. Performances here are always emotive and speak to the soul. A great bar area too, to meet up with friends before & after the show. Very close to the tube which is handy on a cold night in winter/ or wet in spring.
Helpful staff. Nice atmosphere. Convenient location. Cute little theatre.
