Recent Flu jab waiting ques have been a disgrace, old people standing up outside and waiting for very long times. Could be a lot better organized. Good job it's not been cold or raining.
My Mum was refused serious pain relief reason being that she wasn't close enough to death. By a Dr that never set eye's on her. She passed away in pain 7 hour's later. I hope he never has to see anyone he loves in the same situation. It screw's with your head
Just been down to the surgery in Uley where I was due to have a face to face appointment with a doctor. This appointment had already been delayed because the doctor had been sick but the new date had been confirmed a few days ago when I went in to renew a prescription. When I arrived at the surgery a two minute walk I was told that the appointment had been moved to Cam. I had not been told this. I explained that I had specifically made the appointment at Uley because my wife and I had problems driving at the moment for medical reasons and I could not get to Cam today. I therefore had to make a new appointment on Friday March 25th, some two weeks after my original date. Surely this is not the service that Uley residents deserve.
Not great, was diagnosed with fibromyalgia by lovely Dr Bryden in 2017, after months of seeing Dr Bristol with no help what so ever and told it was basically all in my head. Had appointment this year for another issue...to be asked how I'm coping mentally which was not relevant to the issue I was seeing her about..again to be basically told its in my head and I'm paranoid. My partner saw Dr Bristol about chest pains...again it was all in his head? Which he then gave up asking for help and is still suffering with the chest pain. We have since changed doctors.
The receptionist was really helpful and have seen doctor Bristol she was also very helpful and doctor mark warlow phoned me today and was helpful and put me at ease
Patient friendly practice, I have always been able to obtain an appointment within a couple of days, often the same day. The staff are courteous and friendly in the main. I have always received excellent treatment and advice. Given what we see on the news regarding waiting times for appointments a friend of mine can wait 2 weeks for an appointment in Swindon. I feel that we in Cam are very lucky to have this practice at our disposal. Dennis
Not the best first impressions first appt. I sat and waited for almost half an hour, 22 minutes past my appointment time to be precise. I could've managed the wait but not whilst grown ups don't know how to cover their mouths whilst they cough. As it was my first appointment with a duration of 20 minutes, I felt myself getting tired and grumpy. Upon leaving as I decided my need wasn't urgent, I advised reception and asked if their poor time keeping was usual. Reception excused the delay with variable needs from patients, then I rephrased the question and I was informed "no" it was not usual. Which was interesting as I overheard a conversation whilst I was waiting, "15 minutes late again". Lastly and this is probably the most important factor of the visit, no recognition or apology offered.
I would like to say how outstanding Sue Jones Receptionist was today 16.03.2021, She helped me resolve a problem we were up against. I can not thank her enough. She is always so polite and helpful, but today she went that extra mile. Thank you so so much!
Thank you to Tracey. Arrived feeling v poorly. Urine sample taken, on call GP called, antibiotics and painkillers all done and back in bed fir 11.15. Thanks all
This practice is excellent in every way. Occasional long waiting times are to be expected if everyone is to be given plenty of individual attention, which we certainly are!
