I would highly recommend Caledonia Bureau, Dumbarton. My first contact was Gemma and Emma at the office. Both are so friendly, efficient and helpful. Also the inimitable Malcolm Button made the experience of selling our flat such a friendly one. He was so willing to chat things through and give his time. Overall the staff made the whole process very smooth and not a worry. I really would highly recommend.
A fantastic and very slick professional service. I moved estate agent to Caledonia Bureau after failing to sell via another local agency. Malcolm gave an honest, knowledgeable valuation - he's clearly very familiar with the local market. Gemma was friendly and enthusiastic throughout and great at keeping me informed. Any hiccups with the property it was empty and I am not living locally now so had to ask for help with a couple of things were handled smoothly. You have the ability to keep track of the status of your sale through an online facility that shows viewings scheduled etc, which is also handy. Highly recommended!
Your home is generally the most valuable asset you own. When it comes to selling this asset it's understandable you would want to maximise it's value. Experience is essential in reaching the right sale price however presentation is key. Caledonia provide both in abundance. No other local estate agent comes close. I have used Caledonia bureau now Caledonia property over many years both for selling and buying houses/flats and renting them out. I would not trust anyone else to manage my property affairs. The service given by the whole team at Caledonia property is first class and second to none. They are ultra reliable and go the extra mile for you. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
Caledonia Bureau have been everything I could have hoped for in an estate agent and I would strongly recommend that anyone looking to sell a property should do so through them. I cannot thank Gemma, Scott and the rest of the team enough. Gemma was in regular contact with me with professional advice and new developments, always happy to talk and advise. The photographs and video of the house were amazing and I certainly would advise getting a video tour of your house when selling I cannot fault Caledonia Bureau in any way. My house was sold in just over a week... Thank you to all the staff and especially Gemma Young.
Caledonia were exceptional when they sold my house. They process your sale in a very efficient, professional and speedy manner. From contacting them to receiving an acceptable offer was under 14 days and that was over the New Year holidays. At all times Gemma Young kept us in the loop of what was happening. The potential buyers were of the highest calibre, chain free and good to go. Their Caledonia marketing strategy is to target potential buyers via Facebook and it works! Do not waste your time with other agents. Caledonia are the only choice if you want to sell fast and at a good price.
I cannot speak highly enough of this branch. Gemma was fantastic and very patient with us. Answered all our questions with email after email when buying a property and was great when we put our property on the market. Our property went on the market on a Friday night, had a viewing on Saturday and accepted an offer on Monday. Cannot stress enough how much I would recommend this company, especially Dumbarton branch!
Terrible company with bad practices. Only since we had our experience with Caledonia do I meet folk who say not to use them. Wish we found out before! Any repair reported we were told was our responsibility and we had to pay ourselves and it took an age to get back to us and often don't even both replying to emails or returning calls - this happened more when we caught them out lying about the repairing standard. Thankfully citizens advice and environmental health helped us out loads with nearly all of the issues and each time Caledonia were wrong. After 10 months we get our notice and told to leave. After all we had the cheek to complain about genuine problems. Then they used threats about claims on my deposit which thankfully after more help from citizens advice I got back in full - so have that Caledonia. Not so smug now. It looks like the only real reviews here are bad ones, all the good ones appear to be written in the same manner. Avoid.
We rented out one property with Caledonia Bureau and the service from Gemma and Sharon was first class. Their communication regarding renting our property and management of the lease was excellent. We then asked Caledonia to sell two of our properties and their sales management was equally first class. Excellent marketing and communication right through the process resulting in quick sales with both properties. Gemma led the sales of both and was first class in her communication and arrangement of viewings. We then purchased a property through the firm. All in all we were treated exceptionally well, through letting, selling and purchasing we would definitely recommend Scott, Sharon and Gemma with any property management matters and we would definitely come back to them with any of our property matters in the future.
