Costa was busy so nipped into Nero on a Sunday lunctime. unpromising exterior but warm and spacious inside. i had a good Americano with warm milk, nice service. its a Cafe Nero and i like it here..

I've been coming in most weekends for the past year or more. The layout and style of the place is decent for what is a fairly compact coffee shop. Generally speaking I've always found Nero coffee to be very good, and previously that was my experience here too. However in the last couple of months I've seen a lot more inconsistency - my sense is that they've had some new staff and that they've not been well trained. My biggest gripe has been when they've messed up a "baby chino" for my toddler. This is simply frothed warm milk, so you'd think its hard to get wrong, but I've had to send these back several times due to the milk being scalding hot - something that smacks of carelessness. At other times its not been frothed at all. It seems like a small thing, but its indicative of the quality issues I've seen here across the board more recently, and was never an issue before. I still come here and I hope they get things back on track - I'll update my review if things do change (for better or worse)...
