We discovered Caffeine not long after moving to Weymouth in August. Since then my husband and I have visited almost every weekend. Such a warming atmosphere, amazing sarnies, superb coffee and the most delicious Almond Croissants for miles around! Highly recommend
Despite the fantastic coffee, I cannot recommend this place on principle. After visiting once or twice a day during our holiday with no issue, we were turned away from the seating area for having chips from next door despite our order from Caffeine being drinks and dessert. Our son 3 years old with autism and sensory processing issues enjoyed his food two feet away from where we planned to sit at the Fish Place instead and we ordered a couple of cans of pop. I have to ask, was it worth the hassle?
Caffeine is located on the esplanade, over looking the beach with a great seating area in the front. They have additional tables inside too. I had a Turning Japanese toasted sandwich and my wife had The Big Jerk. Both were great! Both sandwiches had sauce added to the bread which caramelised; tasted amazing A delicious Biscoff Frappe to finish made this venue a real winner. We’ll be back!
Myself and Robyn visited for the first time today and we were warmly welcomed. The coffee and food were delicious and priced accordingly. We will be back soon!Food: 5/5
Oh my god this place is so beautiful very clean .beautiful food and drinks in side and out . Beautiful view’s the staff are wonderful .and you can take your dogs in as well . Best place in Weymouth many thanks Kev & tonia
Amazing place, warm and welcoming staff. Giving above and beyond most places which makes it special. Dog and child friendly, such a relaxing place with perfect coffee and cake. Puppy chinos a plus. We can't wait to come back, unless you come to Brixham. Thank you Kid-friendliness: High chairs and amazing staff. Lots of happy smiling babies.
This is such a lovely seafront cafe. I’ve enjoyed fabulous coffee and cake, amazing cocktails and stunning sharing cheese& meat platters. Everyone is so friendly and even make a fuss of our dog Vegetarian options: Fabulous cheese platter with wonderful veggie treats, olives and crackers a plenty!
Really nice, great food and staff were very friendly and looked after us Reason for 4 stars is step and decked step not easily accessible for wheelchair or rollator but other than that.Food: 5/5
Have visited Caffeine previously but always during the day for coffee which was deliciousLast night a friend and I visited for pre- dinner cocktails, taking advantage of their Friday night 5-7pm cocktail happy hour. We enjoyed our Rose Martinis so much we went back after dinner to try some more. I really enjoyed the white sands - perfect after dinner drink. Highly recommend
We had been there on Christmas Eve and it was really good. Amazing toasties and frappés. We decided to go back so called in the morning to reserve a table for 12.30. Everything was fine and reserve taken. We got there at 12.20 and asked if our table would be ready for 12.30. We saw every table full and doubted that would be the case. The lady at the front said there would be a table and we decided to wait outside for a bit. It is important to say that we had a person with very low mobility with us and we were specifically going there to show how good of an experience we had had. At 12.30 I went to ask if there was a table. Response from the lady in the front was no. I asked why take a reservation and not honour it. The reply was “unless I push people off a table, I can’t give you a table”. I then asked to have a chat with the manager. The manager was trying to shift any responsibility and give me the phone number of the person we spoke with to make the reservation. Don’t really understand what that would achieve… when I said about the reply of pushing people off a table, the manager says, “oh she’s new…” I decided to leave as it was pointless to try and pass any point across. Between taking a reservation without honouring it, bad service from staff and manager and making a person with very low mobility very uncomfortable, the experience was awful. Felt really mistreated and it completely nullified the experience from Christmas Eve. I know this review is just one of many but if it prevents people being treated the way we were, it’s positive.
