Cafe Eastern Delight, one of the finest Bangladeshi restaurants in Selly Oak. Located on the Bristol Road, not far from the heart of Birmingham city centre. Cafe Eastern Delight offers quality balti dishes at excellent prices. They offer everything you would expect from a balti house on the Midlands - dhansak, chicken tikka, and so on - as well as a few specials that are worth eating. The vegetarian selection if good. Like a lot of places on the area they offer a student menu of popadoms, bhajis, any main, and rice or naan for £6.95. Add a pint of Cobra and you have the major constituents of my diet as a student in Selly Oak. It can be a bit quiet sometimes, but the staff are friendly, and there's a cool-ass fish tank in there. Highly recommend their balti methi, a good, garlicy spinach dish.
