A beautiful cafe in the Grand Central. Delicious Gelato, scrumptious looking cakes & pastries, lovely ambience, well mannered, professional and courteous staff. Reasonably priced. Will definitely be visiting again.
Me and my mother visited this place for an afternoon tea. Il be honest I wasn't expecting much at all. However was extremely surprised with how good quality the food was here. The sandwiches had a really good amount of filling and were super delicious the scones were yummy and the sweet treats went down well. The customer service was great the people were so kind and helpful. We had a lovely afternoon. Would defo visit again as during my visit I did eye up a few different things I would love to try on the menu halal options available upon request. Dietary restrictions: Halal options available upon request.
Mediocre. Staff look bored and won’t accommodate even the smallest request. No customer service whatsoever nor a smile, or a thanks. The food was ok, however the coffee section need improvement: tasted like watered down instant coffe. For what you pay for it’s not worth it, definitely not the best of the experiences..
A treasure for sweet tooth people. Delicious, super soft, mouth melting cakes. Chocolate Gateaux pastry is a must try!
I went for a catch up with a friend. Lovely cake, but rather pricey. £23 for two cakes, a pot of tea and a decaf Cappuccino. Nice treat though.
After reading the low star reviews to this place I thought I will still give it a chance, but true to other reviews, the service is terrible, customer service is really awful. They really can not be bothered to serve you or even guide you through the process, very abrupt when asking dietary questions, at one point whilst ordering I felt like leaving I wish I had, but continued to give them a chance. One particular staff member who seemed to be the point of call for other staff members was the rudest & I really do feel for the staff that work there too. I asked for a 3 cheeseboard as you can see from the picture it is a measly cheeseboard and they said it included chocolate truffles with an ‘s’ however when I asked they gave us one measly truffle. I really would not recommend this place and avoid, I was going to book afternoon tea but with there horrendous service I would not even bother even trying this place again. They really need to replace the plates and cups as they are wearing away with marks and the colouring coming off. If your dietary preferences is halal, just avoid, they do not help at all, or even make an effort to check. Not sure our food was halal In the end.
Lovely experience! We booked an afternoon tea, we've been welcomed by the staff at the counter and they showed us our table, the sandwiches were very tasty and such a lovely selection of scones. We have been looked after by the girl and she was very lovely. They provided us with boxes for take our leftovers as we could not eat everything. That was a very pleasant experience. We dont live in Birmingham but will try to visit again soon. Thank you
Had afternoon tea here, very nice, everything was perfect, fresh and tasty, also had the option of having an halal option, something you need to mention when booking your afternoon tea, only thing I would say is have the option for any hot drinks not just a pot of tea, as the price is quite expensive. The waiters/ waitress were absolutely lovely, really friendly and attentive. I would recommend Cafe Concerto as the quality is very good. Thankyou for a wonderful experience for me and my daughter, we will definitely be returning and recommending to friends and family.
Excellent cake and a great coffee. Counter service also good. Tables could be cleaned a little more efficiently perhaps.
Afternoon Tea is so worth it! Brilliant customer service by Guiseppe might have spelt the name wrong Really clean, great service, presentation of food and variety is so good! Reasonable covid measures in place. Recommend a try Price: £27.50 for afternoon tea for 2 pp and an additional iced tea as it was incredibly hot today/day of visit. Revisit: Yes! Customer Service alone was enough to bring me back. Favourite Bit: The chutney and cheddar sandwich, the customer service, the presentation, the fresh scones and open plan layout, manage to fit us in the afternoon tea slow within an hour. Least favourite: Did not get to try the salmon as it was last min and they ran out. The mozzarella and pesto replacement was definitely not for us. Only part of the meal we didnt finish Overall: a solid 4/5
