We stopped in on our way through to Inverness on our honeymoon trip through the country, and this was the BEST breakfast we have had our entire trip so far! Possibly even the best meal, period. The service was incredible. I got a hot mocha and it was the best I’ve ever had. The 83 breakfast is top notch, and my husband loved his bacon and maple pancake stack. Place was clean and well decorated as well! Would recommend to anyone looking for a meal in the area!
We stopped in after a walk near Monymusk and picked this cafe because the menu looked the best. There were plenty of tables and a nice, cosy atmosphere. We went for a mix of toasties and soup and shared a few around. The mac and cheese with bacon toastie was my favourite — really tasty! The Cullen Skink was good too, though I’d have liked it a bit thicker.
Called in to this friendly little cafe for an afternoon drink and snack and what a great find! Lovely food and service and relaxing atmosphere. Always a good sign when you see locals supporting local businesses. Next time we’re in Kemnay we’ll have to come early and try the breakfast.
What a fantastic place to have breakfast. Four items of your choice on a roll and at a great price. The food tasted great, one of the nicest breakfasts I've had in a while. It did look closed but the door was just shut, so check just in case. The toilet was clean and tidy. Onstreet parking outside can be difficult to find a space, however, I was able to get a space outside the Co-op.
Woke up this morning needing a cooked breakfast in my life, decided to take a little trip into Kemnay and try Cafe 83 for the first time. I was not disappointed, the Cafe is award winning and for good reason. Very welcoming and friendly staff, I arrived as soon as they opened and there was already a customer ordering a take away. Sat and ordered and by the time my food arrived there was already 5 tables seated, this is obviously a popular spot with them also taking reservations. I decided upon gluttony today and ordered their Big Daddy Breakfast, I don't think I will be eating again today. A beautifully cooked, completely fresh and hot breakfast with beautiful yellow yolked eggs, perfectly spiced haggis and all the other cook breakfast essentials, with an apple juice to accompany the meal. Comfortable seating, a nice atmosphere with background music and good conversations. Unfortunately not dog friendly, but it was kindly explained that as a small venue there had been complaints about dogs being present in the past so they had regrettably had to decide to ban our furry friends, understandable and I am thankful for the kind explanation.n10/10 will be going again, there was lots on the menu I wanted to try.
