Lovely atmosphere, lovely food, just a tad too pricey.
Afternoon tea is well presented, staff could be a bit more attentive when you want the bill!
On our first visit the service was good and the food was excellent but the last time we visited was definitely our last, we got seated and after waiting at least 20 minutes we finally got served and we just had 2 coffees we expected to wait about 5-10 minutes maximum it wasn't busy and a lot of staff were just walking around we eventually got of coffees 25 minutes and they were cold as we noticed two coffees on the counter and they'd been there a good 10 minutes, we mentioned this the waitress but she really couldn't care less. We now go to the Costa a few doors down the staff are more friendly.
Service good. Food good but presentation very poor. Starter was with salad for which you needed a magnifying glass. The steaks were excellent but the plate was bereft of green except for one tiny sprig of water cress and looked so mean for the price. We have had many meals there but they are making too many cuts and we wont be hurrying back.
Food was reasonable but barely warm. As many staff as paying clients when we visited, yet it we & others seated nearby struggled to get service. Drink refills were not offered, 45 minute wait between courses, and 20 minute wait when we requested to pay the bill. Not the kind of service we've experienced in other restaurants from this chain.
Not too impressed. Very quiet but it took ages for our order to be taken, and I felt I was inconveniencing staff by trying to catch their eye. Once we'd ordered our food arrived quickly and there were no issues - however, a gentleman with his family sat near us and literally watched his food sitting on the pass for over 10 minutes before the staff found the time to bring it over. He quite rightly refused it! Disappointing to see such poor service when you only have a handful of customers in. You have a premium spot at Westwood - big improvements needed! Won't be returning.
We had afternoon tea. Really can't fault the food. It was all delicious. The staff on the other hand is a different matter. We were taken to our table and we waited for over 10 mins before we had to ask someone if we could order our drinks. My niece had to ask 3 times for a jug of water. They soon moved quickly though when the bill was asked for.
Had a very lovely meal.. We were served by cal who was very helpful and polite . Aaron was friendly and always with a smile.. The chefs Ross and Michaela made our food delicious especially the gorgeous hot doughnuts with dark chocolate and salted caramel sauce to die for.. Always had good food and service when we go there..
Classic French style café. Excellent service, good well cooked food, something for everyone. Good selection of reasonably priced wines. Only one gripe, the Beef we rear in England has no flavour, it is not even grown for 3 years- hence no flavour, so the chef is off to a bad start. Poor man. However, chicken, pork or lamb are delicious. The choice of sweets include the classics as you would expect. Good place for celebrating anything!
Nice main meals. Had a really long wait for service, we waited over 20 minutes to get a drink. The hummus looked as though it had been used/given to another diner first. Really really loud live music was playing, which spoiled the experience as we couldn't hear the waiter, nor each other. The desert was disappointing, Eaton mess had ice cream in it which isn't right and it was frozen so the strawberries were like huge tasteless bullets. I am assured by regulars, that on another night our experience would have differed.
