Burger is proper nice, meaty- the meaty flavour works great with the bacon and the assorted other toppings. I personally don’t like the tomato, but this burger is very sweet and works well with it. The portion size is good and feels substantial. The patty is big it’s a proper burger. For the price, it offers a lot. Great slightly higher end burger! When sitting in, you get bottomless fries, which is a great deal.
they are not kidding when they said burgers done right. the burger is really good and i also tried haggis here in the haggis cheesy fries. the waiter is really friendly and nice, he gave me suggestions too. the price is reasonable considering the prime location and the insanely good food.
First and foremost the waiter was AMAZING! I wish I remembered his name because he went above and beyond to see what contained my weird allergy and was a total sweet heart. My friend I was visiting in the UK kept joking that he kept bringing me to American food restaurants, but I'm glad we went here the burger I got was delicious and the halloumi fries were mouth watering!
Summed up: The value for money is not fair. So the staff was really friendly which was great but I think they weren’t attentive at all and rather slow. The food stands on the counter for a while before it‘ll be served which depends on the attention of the servers. Sometimes it was alright and sometimes the fries stood there for over 5min which resulted in rather cold food… We had 2 burgers, sweet potato fries and the cheese fries. The burgers were alright though not worth the money too small and quality was more like a home made burger . The sweet potato fries were great but the cheese fries were a bit strange. The sauce didn’t taste like cheese but like a lot of broth and glutamate. Additionally we were confused when we discovered a 10% service fee on our bill because there was no information about it. All in all the food was ok but not worth it even tough it’s Edinburgh. I don’t recommend.
I had the classic chicken burger and fries. The burger was absolutely delicious and the fries were mouth watering. The ambience was perfect for a visit on a Sunny day and the place is ideal for everybody whether you are a group of friends or want to visit with a family. Overall my order costed me 15 pounds so I'd say it was moderately expensive but still on a lower end than similar restaurants and I think this place is definitely worth visiting
Great vibe, lovely team working there and faaabulous burgers! We popped in around 5pm on a Sunday and for a Royal Mile place, it was nice and quiet. Food came super quick and perfect. Byron is one of my and my boyfriend's favourite burger places so its great to try a new location!
Really nice burgers, chips are great, and the sauces are amazing particularly the Byron one The atmosphere is great, waiters are really nice. Only problems : the wait for the food is a little bit long we came around 14:00 and they didn’t tell us the sauces were 1,2£ each until we received the bill... The lunch deal at 9.99£ is worth it for the quality and the location of the restaurant
Overwhelming hospitality. Burgers and other food were tasty but service is what stands out. Situated in the heart of the city on the Royal Mile, this place is great.
Went two days in a row - different staff both days. The staff were so warm and welcoming! They were super lovely and very chatty! Definitely deserve a raise! Food was excellent.
The waiter was very friendly and made sure we were well accomodated and comfortable where we were sitting. The butgers are amazing and so are the fries. The food came very quickly so the wait wasn't very long. Will definitely recommend and come back for more.Food: 5/5
