Bute Park is one of the most popular attractions in Cardiff city! It’s a more than a mile long park with a lake flowing though, walkways and bridges, trees, birds and much more! Taking a stroll at Bute Park is one of the most suggested things to do in Cardiff. It would take about an hour or more to cover the entire stretch. There are play grounds and other open areas which normally witnesses a variety of social activities and celebrations. The whole area is well maintained and safe. There’s the map of the park in the entrance, and signboards at various places to guide the visitors. Bute Park is very accessible as well - it’s situated in the heart of the city, adjacent to the venerable Cardiff Castle. There’s no entry fee, but other services could be paid - although no other services would be required normally for spending a good hour or two there! cleanliness accessibility value for money
A beautiful park to explore right in the heart of the city. A couple of lovely coffee shops with limited seating indoors but plenty outdoors on dry days. Paths to follow all level ground & good for cycling too. WC's can be found in one of the coffee shops.
Wonderful to have such a lovely, lush green area in the town centre! Really nice park to visit, we took the water bus from Cardiff Bay which dropped us off at the park, it was great the only downside was there is a lot of litter in the water which is quite unpleasant and bad for the wildlife but the area was really pleasant.
A huge sprawling city park at the heart of Cardiff. Named after The Third Marquis of Bute, a man whose family developed most of the Cardiff we know today. The main features of this park are the huge grassy areas which are perfect for picnics, sports, dog walking or just relaxing. Another joy feature is the wide range of different trees here from Evergreen to those that change with the season. Many of them blossom with fruits and berries. It's a large park so if you want to see it all you should allow a couple of hours and it's quite easy to get lost so mind your direction The park connects downtown Cardiff with Llandaff Cathedral and is a glorious walk
We visited Bute Park on a quick road trip to Cardiff. It’s now in my top 3 favorite parks. Massive trees, beautiful gardens, and you can rent bikes. It’s absolutely beautiful.
An oasis of calm and tranquility, loads of space a great coffee shop in the centre and opposite the millennium stadium entrance. Not convinced I’d be 100% confident walking through there late at night, but a lovely and well maintained city park.
Very busy at the weekends but still one of the best parks in Cardiff. Very pretty, lovely cafés, lots of benches to sit down and relax, a few areas for kids to play. Always something interesting happens here! Short walk from the city centre. Water taxi with easy access to Cardiff Bay operates daily.
Great experience but certainly not cheap. It was like a Disney park with music using light shows worth a visit suitable for all walking abilities pretty much flat no steps accessible if you have walking difficulties. Some food stalls Yorkshire pudding wrap for £8 !!! Got a bit crowded at the end where everyone stops to take a few pictures
The Park is absolutely stunning On many occasions, I've fed the local Squirrels and even got them eating out of my hands. The lights they have up currently are beyond stunning Christmas At Bute Park Restrooms: No Restrooms Dog-friendliness: Dogs are welcomed
Christmas at Bute Park. If you have not been before you need to go. A superb experience bringing all the festivities of Christmas together with a fantastic light experience. Clean, tidy, enjoyable day / night out. Family orientated, dogs welcome. It’s a great time and one of Cardiffs treasures. If you were thinking of winter wonderland give it a miss and go here instead you will not be disappointed
