Great accommodation with all new amenities. Very neat and tidy. The pull out bed was creaky and uncomfortable to sleep in especially after driving all day.Rooms: 5/5
Lovely big room, very clean.Rooms: 5/5
The stay was great for one night. The apartment had everything that we needed which was great. The only other issue was the pull out couch is a bit uncomfortable.Rooms: 2/5
Really enjoyed my stay, even though it was only one night, we received a warm welcome. The room was clean, not to mention stuffed fridge, some sweets, fresh bread and milk! Absolutely nothing to complain about, recommended!
The owner is very unfriendly. She does not allow guests to eat food in their own room. That's fine. When I was down there in the small squeezy dining room, I asked her where I can wash my hands. She told me I have to go back up stairs wash in my own room because that's the only thing I paid for. And her Scottish breakfast is one of the worst I have eaten. My travel companions and I usually eat a lot. This is the only time none of us can finish the little serving we had because it was so face-palm bad. The room is very small stuffed with beds. If you lay out your luggage you won't even have space to walk around. And surprisingly, it's the most expensive hostel I have stayed in Scotland so far. And the rest of my hostels are actually those entire apartment Airbnb not just 1 room.
Good experience as for the last minute booking. Very friendly owners! The ground floor apartment needs a bit of work here and there, but it's quite fine for one night. Great location and a little parking lot on site.Rooms: 3/5
This was a terrible experience. Florence was extremely cold and rude. She didn't even greet me and was also super condescending when she spoke to my friends and I. She banned us from eating in our room so we had to use the dining room which is fine. When my friend went to use the washroom, she shouted at him and said he could only use the facilities that he paid for which was our room upstairs. The "Scottish" breakfast was also terrible. It was literally just Rice Krispies, super salty eggs and cheap sausages. They also gave us a butter knife for the sausages LOL. We were in the UK for two weeks and went to many Airbnbs which had amazing facilities and hosts. This was an absolute waste of money AND the second most expensive place we stayed at in the UK. Don't bother staying here. You can get an entire apartment for much cheaper. We only stayed here to experience the British B&B experience but were thoroughly disappointed. No idea why she was so extremely cold and rude to us from the get go. Oh well!
We had good reviews about this B&B but I have been disappointed. Pros Bedroom was huge, bed comfortable and space for parking. Cons I unfortunately felt being more in a simili hotel than in a B&B. Breakfast, normally included has been canceled for a quite good reason.. OK however, host didn't welcome us, only a young lady showed us the room and gave us the key, I guess she was a daughter. We didn't see host for the evening apparently out for a restaurant. As breakfast was normally included I would have at least expected some milk or other things in bedroom little fridges bot no. Breakfast room was apart from the host house and had some cereal bars and jams only. No access to the kitchen forced us to manage if on our own. And we left without even seeing host dropped the keys and gone. In short, cheap hotel but I wouldn't call it a B&Bs
Florence did a fantastic job of making us feel at home. Helped us find the place and did a wonderful breakfast in the morning. Too good infact; I struggled with Ben Nevis at first because I was so full. Came in handy later. Anyhow, One of our favorite places we've stayed in Scotland thus far.
For £160 a night it's a rip off. If there is a cheaper alternative, take it. Stained towels No milk for tea and coffee No cot for baby, despite specifically booking Ignored messages asking about the luggage drop off that is supposed to be provided Felt like we were being rushed out the door at 1030, despite check out at being 11. Shower plug blocked so stood in dirty water for shower. A 4 star hotel in London in cheaper.
