Popped into pick up some salad and veggies to make a crunchy salad at home. We were quite shocked by the prices £2.50 a cucumber and bag of wilted mixed lettuce The slightly deranged staff members seemed spaced out…. Like it’s a kind of social experiment or prank. The paprika they sell smells of coffee…. Don’t touch the help yourself spices they’res something wierd going on there. The food is reasonable but not worth the prices. The staff just ignore you…. Never going back… will wait till weekend and buy from farmers market
This is no longer bumblebees. This will become a hub for like minded folk who grew up in the area wanting a nice spot to catch up when visiting. It's refreshing, cool, eclectic and humble. With good coffee, great cake and simple yummy food it will bring a welcome break to gentrified spots that have popped up and isolated the local community on this road.
Good brands and produce sold in store, clear layout. However, some of the staff have poor communication and customer service skills. On arrival, you aren’t greeted, they don’t offer any assistance and make you feel uncomfortable asking questions. This needs a big improvement. I bought a samosa which tastes like it was made with vinegar and fermented / off. Given 3 stars because there is a lovely member of staff still there who unfortunately hasn’t been around my past 2 visits.
Strange. Just a strange strange place. The veg always looks a bit past its best
Incredibly rude staff. I would love to have an organic store nearby to go to - but every time I have tried and I did try to use any of the 3 stores the staff have been rude, uncaring or sarcastic. At best they just ignore you while they talk to each other or friends. It seems to be the entire shop culture from the owner onward. Even on the street where the staff bringing in supplies just walk straight at you while I have to move me and my baby out of their way. I can only assume all the good reviews here are their friends.
Very friendly and polite staff. Good produce. A bit expensive but if you want fresh organic food then you have to pay more . If you become more economical with your cooking you can do with less. No waste is the clue. Good hot food counter. Shops on both sides of the road. Careful when crossing.
I thought the idea of staff working in shops was to make the customers feel at ease and create a welcoming atmosphere. Not screw up your face and tell me to “go next door” when asked about a superfood that they had not heard about. Silly me. Also, £5 for two small cucumbers. Really? A tad too self indulgent for my liking.
I been a costumer for a while and I keep coming. I really appreciate Mina been able to order my requests on the shelves. I like the atmosphere here, its very personal and calm place. Clinton and other boys are nice too: see you soon guys!
Terrible. Limited selection of wildly overpriced old-looking fruit. The two staff members present, a lady and a man with a nose piercing, seemed to resent having their conversation interrupted by serving me. The man was particularly rude and spent half the transaction also using his phone, and was unable or rather unwilling to exchange even the most basic of pleasantries. He barely even looked up to acknowledge me. This is a pitiful, unjustifiably expensive shop which I shan’t return to.
