"In its 300 year history, The Bull's Head has been a former blacksmiths and coaching inn. With open oak beams and Cheshire brick fireplaces, a truly warm welcome is assured. Real ale and excellent food. My wife and I eat here nearly every week and have done so for the last year. The food and the beer are always excellent. A traditional english inn and welcoming landlord and staff.
Had the pleasure of dining here as a group on a January Sunday. The lovely staff were very accommodating, fantastic menu choice including for children and 'oldy worldy' decor just as charming as pub like this should be. The portions were really generous, all mains came at the same time and every meal delicious especially the giant fish and chips! Clean plates all round. We'll be back next time we meet family in the area - can't wait! Ps thanks also for squeezing us all in last minute.
Visited The Bulls Head a few times now. Service is always friendly. The real ales are good and the food is excellent especially the steak and ale pie! Would highly recommend.
Really old and quaint building with friendly staff. Dogs welcome which was a bonus. The food was home cooked and plentiful
Fantastic staff, very friendly and helpful Gorgeous food and big portions.Fantastic beer.A great meal out will definitely visit again.Thank you.
Interesting place with one open room on the way to the kitchen with a pub table in but wasn't sure if it was a public area or not, likewise the space by the bar that had files and a vacuum cleaner but some people we using it to get from lounge bar to conservatory. There was a lot of choice of food, it wasn't busy but it did take 35 minutes for the food to arrive. Maybe a simpler menu ? I had vegetarian curry which despite looking bland and stodgy it was very nice. My family's food was nice as well but it had a very old fashion feel to it, for example the side salad had grated carrots and pinion usual stuff but also slice of orange, grapes and chunk of melon. On then hope, food 3*; friendliness of staff 4*, atmosphere 2*, waiting time 1*
Great food large food portions. Fokd service is slow when pub gets busy. Music night is wonderful. We really enjoyed Dom Kelly playing acistic gitur and singing amazing music. Highly recommended.
Went in for a snack on Thursday with the parents, it was so nice table was booked for Sunday dinner for the family which did not disappoint one bit very nice, piping hot 5 stars all day long
Past by here many times and today finally called in for some food. Had the ribs n chips off the specials and they were so very nice and tender. Well flavoured sauce. Chips were very good too compared to most ''pub chips'' Decor is old pub style, just how I like my country pubs
Still one of the best pubs in Newcastle-Under-Lyme Town Centre, does not serve food coffee or tea, but the landlord will allow you to bring your own in, however there is a large selection of alcoholic drinks of the best quality and taste at reasonable prices. If you want an old fashioned pub with great staff and customers this is the place for you.
