A Nice Supermarket, a bit small though, if it could have a bit more choice it would be great, it's ideal as a proximty supermarket. You usually don't have to wait much to pay.
Good selection of local food, nice fresh bread from Leakers bakery too. The Crusty Country White is a thing of beauty, never tasted bread like it.
A small to mid sized supermarket and as there are only two in Swanage it gets incredibly busy. We found it to be well stocked with a good variety of products available, perfect for holidaymakers. It doesn't have a car park although limited parking is available on the street outside including parking meter. There is a Co-op nearby with it's own car park, you still need a parking ticket which can be redeemed at the till.
Well layed out.. polite staff .. have plenty of choice but some items are a little expensive .. Well worth a looka round
Came in today and it was colder in the shop than outside. The poor man on the till was literally blue. Shame on the owners to expect their staff to work in these conditions. We ran around the shop so quickly because it was so cold. I think I would have bought alot more because choices were good but the cold took over.
Handy and on our doorstep. Catering for tourists clearly. Tad pricier than local Budgens but nevertheless, great to be able to use.
Small to mid size supermarket, look out for their selection of locally sourced food. The chili & beer loaf is great!
Arse tighteningly expensive. No wonder Tesco are ashamed of the prices and disguise it as "Budgens". Some basic items are literally double the cost of a normal supermarket.
Miserable staff, that can’t be bothered to help customers who are unable to get into the store- They seriously should get another job as everything is too much trouble for them and let smiling customer oriented staff have their jobs. I was so insulted I have contacted their Head Office
As one of only 2 supermarkets in Swanage you are a bit of a captive audience and prices may be higher than you'd find in your mainstream supermarket. That said it has a good range of products available and well stocked shelves. We visited late on a Saturday afternoon after a long trip to Swanage for a week away. We were able to get all the things we needed including some pizza meal deals for the kids. The staff were very pleasant and the girl on our checkout was very cheerful and pleasant. There is a CoOp just over the road that also offers a car park not free. Bugens was a nice store and we had a good experience shopping there.
