It has been a long time since I was here and unfortunately this area has not escaped the changes of time with some of the well known businesses closed. Visited the tea room that Rennie Mackintosh helped to design. The staff are very friendly , the food lovely, a suggested visit.
over 80 shops are there in Buchanan Galleries, covering the best High Street names and brands as well as some more specialised stores which you won't find anywhere else in Glasgow - or even in Scotland. So if you're looking for fashion, beauty, the perfect pair of shoes, something for the house, or the new gadget, you'll find it all right there at Buchanan Galleries.
A covered shopping precinct in the heart of Glasgow. It has the well known stores and some unique shops Set over 3 floors, the 3rd floor being cafe and restaurants. Ideal place to find that perfect souvenir. Well worth a visit
Lots of major chain stores concentrated in this small area. Rail, bus terminal and underground within 5 minute walk. Ideal for full-on shopping. Plenty of cafes, pubs and restaurants too. Good quality street performers in summer, surprisingly few professional beggars.
I love shopping at the Buchanan Galleries. Theres something for everyone also it's so easy get to. The bus station is just across the road, the subway and train station are also close by . Glasgow city centre easily competes with any major city in the U.K
Being here over weekend and holidays is a whole new kind of vibe. Streets are very lively. Music and happy people all over the place.
Great pedestrianised area with range of shops from high end fashion to many others. House of Fraser in area. Take a brolly as rains a lot. No traffic. Lots of restaurants and bars. Often, street performers.
It's like any other street in the city centre with various shops. Only difference is that there's 3 shopping centres Buchanan Galleries, Argyle Arcade & Princess Square in this street & an entrance to an underground train station.
Great place to shop, lunch, dine and wine. Great connection to all parts of the city. Truly a beautiful City with no pollution
All under cover close to other attractions but as it was pouring down it was great to park up in the dry & explore without an umbrella!
