The worst service I have ever received. Treat like scum. my partner was looking for a house to rent I was helping out and she found a house that was advertised by browns and organised a viewing just before the viewing we talked and decided I would move in with her as it would be stupid us both running separate house holds. Also with me earning a good salary that would also help so I decided not to look for myself and let browns know I will be moving in with her and it would be a joint application. It’s all started really well we met the inspection lady who was covering to show us round the house on the Thursday. She was lovely very chatty. We decided that we wanted to go for the house as long as the landlord would let us decorate or do something about it. We got a call Thursday afternoon to say the landlord would be happy to put £100 towards decorating the house. Great! So I went down the Friday and paid my deposit. I was say waiting in the room when I over heard 2 people speaking about our application. And how they had questions. So I went into the room to fill the application and pay out application fee. Nothing got mentioned so I prompted if there was any problems with our application with me deciding to move in. I got a no no it’s all okay. So openly I explained a very personal situation on why I had decided to move in. and I got a okay I will let Julie know. Julie I had spoken to previously who was very blunt and had very poor customer service. We waited over the weekend getting all excited how we would decorate what to buy. Colour schemes. To then get a call Monday to see that the landlord had changed his mind and didn’t want us in because he didn’t want us to decorate etc... with me hearing what I did I had a suspicion this wasn’t the case so I called back after my partner rang me upset at work I asked a lot of questions. And without admitting it they mentioned it was down to suspicion of me not actually living at the address with me not originally going for the house with my partner. That call was also a very bad service. Poor customer service skills. How they can take my deposit and getting us excited knowing full well they weren’t going to accept us. I will never use them again. We have luckily found a better house elsewhere and moved in with great service. I recommend you look at a house with Robinson’s estate agents.

Recently bought a house with Brown's. They were very helpful and phoned often with updates on how out application was going. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Would recommend buying a house with them!

I have used Browns several times to both buy and sell properties. I find their service excellent and the staff  are professional ,friendly and helpful. I would always recommend their services.
