The service is amazing, any small errors or issues a great deal is done to correct or to better your experience. It has a high class atmosphere without breaking the bank. I enjoyed bourbon Old Fashion which was done incredibly well and then ordered a Perfect rye Manhattan, which wasn't on the menu, and the ratio was done just right. The presentation of the food and cocktails is grand. I am a fan of the glass wear they use. The place has always been a favourite of my family's and glad I've got to experience it.

Took my Mum for a special birthday lunch with my Son. Service was good but food was actually awful and over priced. 1/4 of the mussels were closed sat in a pointless, watery sauce. Pork belly was so tough I couldn't eat it, was like it was yesterday's dried out leftovers, the sides / garnish were disappointing (apart from the chips). My sons fish and chips, came with no veg or garnish at all and puddings were just average. For the price, I wouldn't eat here again. Totally disappointed!

Absolutely faultless service and a lovely venue but the food is dire, whilst eating here I saw multiple other tables send orders back. Come here for a drink but do not recommend eating. Plenty of better places in Clifton village or Whiteladies Road.

Popped in for a business lunch for 7. A good selection on the menu. It wasn't busy in here so was served right away. It did take 45 minutes for our food to come out, it looked lovely but I was a little disappointed as the chips were cold.

I Went here a few weeks ago and had the sea bass which was excellent, very salty and tasty. Everyone else seemed to eat well too. The interior is spacious, brightly lit and very plush. Everything seemed very clean and staff seemed well organised and happy. The restaurant is very lucky to be based in the former city museum and library, with its italian inspired architecture, originally opened in the 1870s. There is also limited outdoor seating too, though overlooking a busy noisy road. My only real negative is that it can be quite expensive but then again it is in Clifton. Ideal for business meetings, important family events and going out on a date.
