Absolutely love Broughty Castle, been going there my whole life, visit often every year.
Interesting historic building at the harbour mouth. Good view over said harbour and of the estuary. Somewhat windswept given its exposed location. Good nonetheless.
Small but good local museum with a great lookout over the beach. It's in a historic castle - so has lots of stairs but worth the climb
Very informative staff and lots in the museum to view. Take note of the cannons when you walk through the gate, an interesting story about these to be read.
The Broughty Museum brings to life amazing history of battles and sieges through the display of over 600 years of antique objects. The castle was built in 1496.
A really interesting museum, with things to keep children happy and interested too. It is really well laid out in the castle too. A must when you visit Broughty Ferry
A lovely place to visit. Was quite surprised with the amount of time we spent here. We called in for quick visit just to say we had been but ended up spending the whole Sunday afternoon here. Such a relaxed friendly atmosphere to the whole place.
