Bowling was great. Food options was terrible and over priced. We had a group booking for work do and the bowling and staff were fantastic. Food was a huge let down. Lots of great options for drinks whether tee total or not. My marks were based on terrible food served with not enough based on the numbers we paid for. Larger was completely flat! Was not worth the money we paid for. Great night out otherwise as the venue itself was great atmosphere, spacious and clean. Do something about your food ...Make it cheaper to reflect the cost of it or get a better chef please.
Brilliant venue for music. Best part of the O2
I went for a heavy metal gig so I didn't try bowling or the food. For a gig it was great - good sound, good ventilation, the stage is raised so visibility is good from anywhere and there is a raised area on the right by the alleys giving an especially good view. It felt both nice and open, and close to the band and intimate. There is a long bar so getting a drink was very easy. Staff and security were polite. I can see from the set up of the alleys, and a few people did bowl, that they should be cool - there are nice leather sofas, plenty of space, screens with projectors playing videos; it just generally felt like a more sophisticated and classy bowling alley than the typical "arcade" type I've been to. Obviously I don't know their prices.
Went to a concert and loved the whole experience! The space, the service, the atmosphere. Unusually for such place I did not have to wait for beers at the bar. And they have massive pitchers if you are there with a group.
Good sound in a spacious gig venue/bowling alley. In theory I should have loved this place but, unfortunately, it lacks the atmosphere that would make this place great. It ends up feeling a pastiche of what it should be. Despite this it's a good place for a gig.
Came to a gig here during C2C 2015 and the atmosphere was great the bowling noise going on in the background added to the quieter numbers!. No bottled beer and the railing around the bar made it difficult to get around when the venue was at full capacity, but we had an amazing time nonetheless.
A mixed experience at this hidden venue. The meal in the restaurant had great, classic American dishes but the whole experience was ruined by the terrible and unprofessional service. Waiting staff refusing to serve our table because we weren't in their area? Unforgivable. Luckily the main event was a blast, Maceo Parker James Brown's Sax man mellowed us out with some classic funk and soul music in a fantastic and perfectly sized music venue that is big enough to get the famous musicians but small enough to be an intimate gig.
My girlfriend and I visited Brooklyn Bowl on a rainy Saturday afternoon around 16:30. Knowing this is also a live music venue we thought it would be a fun afternoon bowling. When we arrived there was a sound check in progress, the cashier immediately noticed the concern on our faces and reassured us they would be finished in 5 minutes. We found this acceptable and got ready to bowl. The first sound check finished a little after 10 minutes, then a SECOND one started 30 minutes later and continued until we left. As a paying customer the prices arnt cheap I never expected to have to listen to the monotonous banging of a snare drum for half my bowling session. All this while the piped music was still playing. So as the manager pleasantly advised me, I would like to advise you as well, if you're coming here to do some ten pin bowling on a Saturday afternoon, expect sound checks and a head ache.
Attended a concert here. Fairly good location, surrounded by restaurants within the O2! Venue itself was a decent size and the bowling looks like it could be good fun!
Didn't eat there but it's a great gig venue. Only real problem was that the queue for the bar was a bit of a mess but a very cool American style small to medium place to see bands and go bowling.
