the sandwich is great value for money, £6 for a huge sandwich is a steal in london. the vegan fish finger one was really nice! the coffee and pastries are alright. interior is very cozy with some very nice prints and you get some great sun sat outside.Food: 4/5
One of my favorite cafe in Brockley. Sourdough here is great and latte is also good! Love the vibe here !
I usually go to Brown's next door but saw they had matcha here so decided on The Broca instead. But in hindsight it may have been the wrong decision. The matcha itself was so pale in colour, and as someone who gets it often at other spots it was very disappointing. Its meant to be a bright green and this one as a result just tasted like slightly muddy milk. Perhaps the barista just needs more training or is new as they also initially put the matcha powder in the plastic cup and poured the hot water in the plastic cup, rather than in a separate mug not made of plastic. I think if a place has matcha on the menu it's super important that it's given as much attention in training as a cup of coffee. I also got a coconut and lime slice cake thing.. not sure if it was meant to be sweet or just a slice but it had no taste. Neither of sweetness, nor of coconut or lime. Just tasted like dry cake unfortunately. The lady who served me not the barista but the person who took my order was very nice though.
Broca is one of our favourite places to go for coffee & treats on weekend mornings! The team are so kind and welcoming, the cafe is gorgeous with such a warm atmosphere, and there are GF/V doughnuts from Borough 22 available! It’s just outside Brockley Station, so it’s the perfect location! Highly recommend! Dietary restrictions: GF/V options!
A delightful and cosy spot for excellent vegan sandwiches and excellent coffee. Various Knick Knacks decorations in this spot. A vibe which is welcomed including superb staff that serve and explain. The ‘snug’ is very comfortable with living room vibes. If you are in the area we recommend the you visit. Excellent!
Had amazing vegan pastry and really nice black coffee here. Friendly and helpful service.Food: 5/5

Title: A Refreshing Authentic Gem in London's Heart Review: I had the pleasure of visiting Broca Cafe in London, situated conveniently near the Brockley underground station at 4 Coulgate St. The moment I walked in, I was captivated by the authenticity of the decorations, which provided a unique and charming atmosphere. The staff are a standout feature at this cafe - they were kind, cheerful, and made sure we felt welcome from the moment we stepped through the door. Their exemplary service truly enhanced our experience. I tried the Falafel Sandwich, which I have to say was simply phenomenal. The falafel was flavorful and well-cooked, and the rest of the ingredients melded together perfectly, making for a satisfying meal. What also impressed me was the outside seating area. The tables offer a great way to connect with London's vibrant neighbourhood, making for an enjoyable al fresco dining experience. Overall, Broca Cafe is a warm, inviting spot that manages to combine excellent food, service, and ambience. A definite must-visit when you're in London!
Exceptionally good coffee, so nice to have an ice coffee in the sun here the other day, lovely seating indoors and out, place also smells great, friendly service and beautiful art on their cards. Good selection of pastries and drinks and good end of day deals.
Cozy hidden gem of a cafe with indoor and outdoor seating, amazing coffee by Dark Arts, matcha, chai, incredible baked goods, cinnamon buns, cardamom buns, almond buns, banana bread etc. grilled vegan sandwiches, local products/merch and lots more. The customer service is also amazing, definitely recommend.
