Lovely free car park to allow you to visit the wonderful Walsall Arboretum. In recent years it has been gravelled over and this has helped especially in wet weather and winter. There are 4 disabled bays but these could have been better placed by the start of the footpaths for ease of access for those who have limited access. It's a popular place to park especially amongst the dog walking fraternity. Or when there are events on at the arboretum itself. The opening and closing times do vary throughout the year so check the BIG signs at the gate and on entry. Only someone of limited vision could avoid these. Park up, visit the lovely free arboretum, take your litter home or put it in the bin and ALL DOG walkers pick up your dogs mess! Kids use the park and it's disgusting seeing piles of dog poo!
Went for the first time today after driving past for years, took our dog, and it was wonderful, busy, but not to busy to have space, very good dog walkers, as our dog doesn't mix well, we had no problems here at all. Lovely walk on grass and path, we went to the left of the car park as the right side was really busy, we will go back there another day soon to do the right side, which appears huge. Probably 99% litter free, which is a right bonus, the whole park is very well kept, and a car park for many cars, that is free, yes FREE to use.
Free to park which in itself is a rare thing nowadays...right on the back end of the park..but a lovely walk down to the pool and play area for the kiddies..loads of space for picnics..cafe on site with seating inside and out...
People park where they want as the floor markings are worn out so can make it tight in some spaces. Gravel flooring makes pushing a pushchair or wheelchair a little hard so having to go all.the way around in awkward.
Broadway car Park is a most excellent place to park your vehicle and explore the Arboretum. Why is it so good I hear you ask. Because it's Free, and recently had a revamp, as it was a large gravel area with potholes you could lose a smaller car in.
Free and great place to start walks
The car park was fine, always grateful for free parking. If only there were toilets there. It was one mile to the nearest toilet!!
Lovely place to go for a walk, and plenty of space for kids to run around, really nice duck feeding area at the bottom aswell.
What's not to like about free parking !! Great location for the arboretum and country park.
