Ordered sausage in batter with a piece of southern fried chicken and with fresh chips . The sausage in batter had rock hard batter ! Not crispy! But stale it was obvious to it had been fried hours ago. The fried chicken too ! Chips were freshly fried, but I could tell it was from waxy potatoes not the correct chip potato Maris piper. I knew this from the taste! These chips tasted like raw potatoes! You know ! The taste you get from potato salad when the potatoes are sort of hard . I literally peeled off the batter completely , so I could at least eat the sausage inside. I peeled off the dried skin from the chicken thigh and managed a little of the slightly softer part of it . The chips tasted soo raw and waxy even though they were cooked. But worse still was the salt cellar and vinegar bottle! Filth and greasy all over ! I couldn’t touch them . They haven’t been wiped never mind washed at all ! I took photos of the filthy salt and vinegar containers. I’ll see if I can post them here. In my opinion this place should be shut down by health and safety! But Hackney is very relaxed about these places! Somehow they get away from being shut down.

Hello fellow Google mapsers. I was just on my way home. Drunk of course. Rushed in, yelled i need fries in a spliffy cuz i needed to catch a bus. Got my fries and a gurki in a minute and was out 5/5 service yeah. Fries however was as sloppy as my own sausage, 2/5 for the food. gurli was oki but vinegary, i hoped it would be fremented, but na. didn't hang around long, can't say nythinh about atmosphere.

Nice and professional service. Fresh and tasty food. Affordable prices. I recommend Britannia 24/7.

Stopped here for some food after a Northern Soul Night. The food was very good, very fast service and the staff were incredibly friendly. If I lived nearby I’d come here a lot more.

Very friendly people and the food. That's great, especially the sausages. Very crispy and very delicious. Freshly made fish and chips feels like the same taste from the seaside restaurants.

DO NOT EAT HERE, the staff will rip you off and make you wait at least 20mins for food without telling you how long the food will take and serving everyone else before you. Worst kebab I’ve ever had. The worst customer service, do not order food here.
