Can't speak highly enough of this company. Moving house can be a very stressful time but all the staff involved in our move made it much less so. They accommodated us at very short notice and provided a first class service. We paid them to pack for us and I can't tell you what a good decision it was. Everything was packed extremely well with no danger of any breakages. Our effects were delivered quickly and furniture was even put back together for us at the other end. All the staff were polite, courteous and careful to make sure our requests were met. Great team, great service. Highly recommended.

I really can't recommend Britannia highly enough. From the initial home visit & quote we were supplied with all our packing supplies & plenty of tips of how to pack. Communications were excellent.We were promised a stress free move and that's exactly what we received We chose to move out on Day 1 & then in on the Day 2 and both days Paul & Sam were unstinting in their efforts to please and good-humoured throughout. All our possessions were treated with the utmost care - Everything was covered or protected on packing & nothing was too much trouble when it came to unpacking. Coffee breaks were kept to an absolute minimum & they worked like Trojans to get our items wherever we wanted them...even suggesting alternative storage places for more fragile items Such a professional service - Not the cheapest but I really feel that we got what we paid for Would definitely re-use & will certainly recommend. Well done All!!

These lot are rubbish. More interested in making a fast buck rather than looking after the customer properly. They charged us near £649 for breaking our computer table, then offering us compensation for the plug only. They left the wardrobe in the kitchen because they couldn't get it upstairs, even though I measured it and you could get it upstairs. Boxes for upstairs were dumped in the lounge. They charged for removals insurance we didn't need as we already had contents insurance which would have covered it. The boss is rude and arrogant and wouldn't touch these again with a barge pole. Your better off getting a man with a van or your own van rather than having all the problems we had.

We took Which? 's advice, avoided 'Man and Van' and sought estimates from BAR (British Association of Removers) with mixed results. The first had a 'take it or leave it' attitude after I questioned their (to my mind) excessive quotation.To explain: we were selling our property and intending to rent in North Wales until we found something to buy. The problem was synchronising a) completing on the sale. b) starting the let (some properties we fancied were snapped up) and c) finding a remover. Our second BAR quote could not guarantee a day and, if we were delayed, their compensation fees were exorbitant. Enter Anchor Removals: it started with Jayne Pereira on the phone; bubbly, cheerful and exuding enthusiasm. I kept her updated on our progress and she kept me updated on availability. Then Martin came to price up the job. Once again he engendered confidence and left us with an advice document which included things I would never have thought of. Then the day of the collection: Vinnie and Wayne were amazing, never stopped, wrapped all our fragile items and almost drank their tea/coffee (lots) on the run. The following day the same team arrived at our new location and the process was reversed. Nothing was too much trouble, even when bumping their heads on the low staircase. Everything we requested was done without any hesitation. I have already asked Chris (the boss) if we can have the same team again when we finally move to the house we buy and he said he'll see what he can arrange, nearer the time. Given that they are based in Manchester and we are likely to move no more than about 10 miles in North Wales I'll still be asking them for a quote. (Their original quote was less than the other two removers I approached.) The whole ethos of the company, led by Chris, is one of honesty, reliability and service. Not only does the company pay well above the minimum wage it is also committed to supporting a number of charities. One day all companies will be run like this (to paraphrase a famous quotation.) I must als mention the other Wayne who really does exist!
