OK, so I might be exactly the kind of person who would totally love this shop, but I LOVE THIS SHOP. I came here looking for an axe, received great service and help, bought the axe, and made plans to come back and buy many, many tools I don't strictly need.

A wonderful selection of esoteric tools that are worth browsing. A very large selection of  wood working tools. Staff are knowledgeable, friendly and keen to help  but often will be hard work for pognophobes. The tools are good value  for good quality but this is not the place if what you want is something that you don't care to keep (this is not B&Q). However, they have sold me a single wing-nut when I was desperate...

Great little place with a huge range of stock.  Prices pretty reasonable and the staff friendly.  Oh, and the shop contains Dr Adam Hart-Davis.
