Meat was absolutely amazing, so tender and just fell apart. The roast was served with a lovely yorkshire, mash, a hasselback potato and seasonal veg including parsnips and red cabbage. We also got extra gravy at no charge which is always good! Just wish there was proper roasties and more of them
Great place in Ouseburn. Cool vibe. Great drinks selection. Lovely food - burgers are amazing and the chips are probably the best I’ve had of any pub in the UK. Top music playlists. Retro chintzy furniture and decor. Everyone who’s ever served me has been sound, hipsterish kinda vibe.nnLove coming here - favourite place in the Toon
This is a lovely, hidden gem just off Byker bank. The food we had was excellent although the photos don't really do it justice and the beer choice was off the scale with samples available on request.nnAtmosphere was amazing, noisy but not so loud you couldn't talk. Tables and chairs were 'rustic' but comfortable and the artwork was 'local' and available to purchase.nnStaff were friendly and very personable, nothing was a chore for them, dispute how busy the place was.nnOverall, a very nice place for a meal with friends at reasonably affordable prices. Highly recommended!
Massively friendly and busy place. Totally unexpected from the walk up and the entrance. Wonderful place. Within a few minutes the owner and head brewer and spoken to us with recommendations on area to drink and what to drink. Fantastic place. Great beers too. Will definitely come back.
Good food, good friendly service, it wasn't too busy on the Sunday afternoon we visited. We tried a selection of sliders mini versions of their burgers shared between 2 - all were amazing!!! I especially liked their chicken sliders, perfectly crispy and well seasoned. Chips are fluffy and almost tastes buttery inside. 1 star off for the kids sausage and chips meal - sausage good quality but very salty, and the beans had rather too much herbs that it tasted bitter. Would definitely come here again for the burgers.
