Open times can be a bit hit and miss here. Sometimes they open at 8, sometimes 9 and sometimes they decide to close at lunch time. They don't print Royal Mail labels for Click & Drop although the Royal Mail website says they do. The previous postmaster was friendly but I think there has been a staff change recently and the new people can come across as quite rude and stand offish. They don't seem to know what they're doing.
Got a parcel delivered to this post office only to be handed a red royal mail slip at 7.30am with a mobile number and told in these exact words "Ring this number, she has your parcel", and then the man just carried on doing what he was doing. I was extremely puzzled to then find out my parcel was re-directed to the main depot in town and had to make another trip to collect it from there. The man I spoke to at the main royal mail depot showed me a cabinet full of parcels behind the desk which where all from this post office!! He said I don't know why they have a contract they divert all their parcels here. THIS IS THE FIRST AND LAST TIME I WILL BE USING THIS POST OFFICE! DON'T GET YOUR ITEMS DELIVERED TO THIS POST OFFICE NOT WORTH THE HASSLE!
Good service is more important than a professional outward appearance. Ruining the years of toil put in by the older generation.
I sent a 'signed for' letter from this post office, but realised within the hour they did not give me the receipt. I rang immediately and left a voice message to inform them, and that I would pick it up next day. I rang twice more, but nobody picks up the phone or apparently listens to their voice messages. I visited today and they were very rude and offhand, did not even look for the receipt. They informed me that they are 'professionally trained', then implied it was my fault for not 'asking' for the receipt! Extremely unhelpful and unprofessional - I won't be using them again.
Not run as a post office should. Today post office opened at 9:30 although on the website it said 9:00. On a Saturday before Christmas it was closed. Also they do not sell INDIVIDUAL stamps. Disappointing all round.
They are diverting all parcels pickups to main post office depot. Don't get anything delivered to this post office for pick up.
Went there after checking opening time on web, to be told Post Office section closed. Wasted journey.
Totally useless. Went there 45 min before closing time just to be told that Post Office section is closed. No explanation whatsoever.
