Brighouse Veterinary Centre Ltd is owned and managed by Martin Stelfox, who took over the practice in 2001 and Olivia Dangerfield who became partner September 2016.
It is the oldest established veterinary practice in Brighouse, originally founded by Mr Brian Grey in the early 1970s.
Today, the Mary Street surgery offers the latest in medical and surgical treatments. We have a full range of modern diagnostic equipment – including an in-house laboratory that gives same-day results; an ultrasound machine and X-ray facilities.
Brighouse Veterinary Centre Ltd has all its facilities on a single site. We consult, diagnose, treat and operate from Mary Street, where there is a separate purpose-built operations building with recuperation kennels.
Our practice is RCVS accredited – it has been inspected by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons to ensure high standards of training, hygiene and professional competency.
The practice has a small and friendly ethos. Clients can make appointments to see the same vet at every routine visit and we offer 24-hour cover with an emergency on-call service.
We have open surgeries every weekday, for which no appointment is necessary, and we offer both appointments and an open surgery every Saturday – with emergency open surgeries on Sunday mornings and Bank Holidays.
Brighouse Veterinary Centre runs a number of free preventative health clinics and regular puppy parties.
