Brilliant location just off the motorway. Perfect for meeting friends from the North! Friendly staff who were appropriately attentive but not intrusive. Really nice food, salad was really fresh and tasty for a chain pub. Refillable drinks are a bonus. Clean and tidy throughout, tables were cleaned and turned around as soon as vacated. Been several times and this was best visit.

Friendly place. Fairly priced and lovely staff! Great play area for young children. Outdoor play area also. Good selection of drinks. Been a couple of times and happy to return.

We have driven past this place a number of times since we moved over this way but this is the first time we had been in. We have been to a few Brewers Fayre pubs over the years and know what to expect. Unfortunately The Old Brickworks is nowhere near as good as other Brewers Fayre pubs we have visited. The place was very quiet when we ordered our food. We had avoided the 'rush hour' period but it still took over 40 minutes for my burger and my partner's "smoked" chicken to arrive. The coleslaw was the warmest item on my plate. Warmer than the burger. Warmer than the chips! My partner said that her salad was warmer than her burnt (not smoked) chicken. As noted in one of the other reviews, the hand dryers are not fit for purpose either although they probably pump out more heat than the ovens! We will continue driving past it in the future!

They do a nice Sunday lunch buffet but the bar and service is often slow. There is a large indoor play area that's great for the kids if you can actually get a seat! You can't even book in advance for the play area so it's a gamble as to weather your kids get in there this needs to be sorted very disappointing if you've drove a long way for the kids to play. Nice place but big let down kids have left dissapointed a couple of times.

One of the only places left where kids can play inside, without it costing the earth. Decent themed all you can eat food nights. Carvery is always well presented and tasty. Could do with more vegetarian and vegan options in main menu as not much for us personally but rest of family always happy.
