Really nice location with Premier Inn next door, and Goodrington beach just outside. Decor and layout is excellent, staff are very welcoming and helpful. Food is of good quality and reasonably priced, a bonus scheme is in place which gets you a free main course on your birthday when you sign up for free.
My partner has been here a few times with friends and had good experiences, so I must've just really caught them at a bad time or something. We chose dishes from the menu on the table only to be told at the till they weren't running those on Sundays. Unsure why they'd leave that menu on the table then, but alright. We'd get a roast. After paying we were told to go stand and wait by the kitchen door for someone to bring us our mains. We seemed to be the only ones asked to do this for some reason. After 5 minutes of waiting a waiter came up to us to say they no longer had the main we ordered, so we agreed to get something else. We waited a total of 20 minutes by the kitchen door, and when our food was finally brought out we had to go queue for 5 minutes for the meat carvery even though our plates were just sat out on the counter ready to go and getting cold. When we finally got back to our table there was now 2 random people sat there, which I guess is what happens when you vacate your seats for literally 30 minutes to go stand by the kitchen door. We then realised the waiter had forgot to give us cutlery so we had to go back to the front of house desk to ask for some. The food itself was fine and cheap enough I guess.
Was so impressed with this restaurant compared to some of the other Brewers Fayres I've been too. The restaurant was so clean and had a lovely feeling about it even though it was Saturday evening. It was almost full when we were there bit the service was still quick and staff so friendly and helpful! Food was so well cooked. Had a root vegetable Christmas Dinner and everything was so well cooked. Very impressed and satisfying visit.
We eat here twice the first was outside food came pretty quick man behind bar seemed moody 2nd time we booked table waited over 45mins for food food was lovely can not fault it lady at host area was friendly que for the bar however was very long their was 6 staff behind bar and only one que for drinks and food which was out the door lady with blue in her hair was very rude and I think maybe needs to work on her customer service skills but definitely 5stars for food.
I booked asking for a cosy spot as it was my wedding anniversary and we were visiting from another county. The staff left us a card and bottle of prosecco which was so incredibly touching! The food was wonderful, I had a chicken salad and it was so large in a good way! that I couldn't finish it, the chicken was perfectly cooked. I'll be back soon in the daytime so I can make use of that wonderful view properly!
Big chain, good location very large pub with plenty of tables and space so no problems just turning up and getting a table. Massive menu with foods to suit all tastes. Service was quick and efficient, in fact after ordering I don't think it took more than 10 minutes to get the food served. You certainly don't come here for a gourmet meal but then pricing is right, food choice and flavours suit young family palates. So very family friendly. I was pleasantly surprised the rump steak was cooked correctly to medium rare so very very nice. So to summarise perfect for speed and young families. If your after gourmet food plenty of independent places nearby but otherwise a big thumbs up from the kids
I brought my family down for dinner last night for my son's birthday & we had a lovely evening. It was really busy & they were short staffed but all the staff still had smiles on their faces & the service was wonderful. Not much of a wait on food considering how busy it was & the food was lovely too. Steaks cooked perfectly, salads were really fresh & our 4 year old loved the whippy ice cream, so many yummy toppings! Thank you all for a wonderful evening
Went in on a whim and was one of the best carvery's I've had in ages. The dauphinoise and mash were really good
Nice pub, very clean, great location, food good. Pleasant and helpful young lady got us a table even though it was very busy, however the girl who served me at the bar needs to update her customer service skills, I wanted to pay with a gift card I had been given and she actually rolled her eyes at me when I handed it to her as she wasn't sure what to do with it. She asked one of her colleagues and he showed her but her attitude made me feel uncomfortable, apart from this we enjoyed our visit.
Food dry, left under heat lamps too long. Needs more staff to cater for busy days. But grateful view from terrace Vegetarian options: Some vegetarian options Kid-friendliness: Kid and dog friendly
