My wife, my disabled father and myself who is also disabled, went to this restaurant on Tuesday 24/04/2018 at approx 5pm, as we entered we was shown to our table and asked if we would like a drink. We knew what we wanted to eat, so we gave our order to the waitress the food order. She then told us to help ourselves to salad, when we went to the salad bar we notice it was nearly empty and we ask if it could be refilled please. The waitress said sorry and proceed to get the Chef. When he arrived, I said sorry but the rolls seem hard and as there was only a few could they be replaced please and he replied NO I only done them a hour ago. So I had a word with the bar staff and our waitress, that he said NO and was not happy with is attitude. Then I heard him say something, so I said sorry what did you say and he replied. GET OUT OF MY FACE, which I was not or he was going to hit me with my own walking stick and should meet him after work round the back of the building as he was going to knock me out. Then he walk off and just before he went into the kitchen, he turned around and said to me why don’t you F@@K OFF. I ask to speak to the manager and I was told she cannot do anything and she as to speak to her Boss. The Chef was about 22 years to 28 years old with light hair and a goatee beard. After this incident we left as we was in shock. Something needs to be done about this. I require a written apology to me and my family. We also want to be compensated for this as it ruined our holiday.

Went here on a Saturday evening and all started well with good service and friendly staff. The food came quicker than they said which was great. However it became very apparent that their focus was on new customers who was waiting for food. We were simply forgotten about, we wanted dessert but got fed up of waiting. We ended up going to the bar and paying the bill, leaving with no dessert. We were simply forgotten, so we will forget this harvester.

Would never recommend ever. Appalling customer service. took some elderly relatives for the day out and booked a table we then sat for a further 35 minuets and still no one came over to take our drinks or even our order. 6 people came in after us and got seated and served and had food. Left as no one took any notice of us at all and the staff didn’t even try to say sorry or make us stay at all. Went to the weather spoons across the road and what excellent service they are highly recommended in my books.

Lovely restaurant and set in a really nice location on the sea front. We booked our table as there was a lot of us and our waiter was really nice. There were a few issues on this visit though mainly they didn't have half the meals we ordered and also had ran out of milk so we couldn't have tea or coffee. Overall I have visited a few times and the food is of pub food quality and it's worth a visit

A very long wait for food, it was cold inside the restaurant and people were eating with coats on. No bitter at all on tap, this must be the only place that I have visited that does not offer any bitter at all on tap. After our long wait for food, which seemed unnecessary as it wasn't overly busy, the food arrived, after having to ask when we were going to get it. The steak on my plate was nigh on inedible and it was blue, I ordered medium rare, half of the steak could not even be cut with a steak knife, it was as tough as old boots. The mushrooms on the plate were so hard and dry, they were like cardboard, also inedible. My wife had the same issue with her mushrooms, her steak was partially edible. Of course we complained, the only response we got was a response of, "Was everything else okay with your meal", we were asked this about five times, in fact it wasn't, as the greenery on the tiny salad on the plate was all shrivelled up and dry. We were offered no discount off the meal, we were offered nothing at all. The meal was a total waste of money and spoilt our evening completely. If this is the standard that the Harvester in Paignton sets, this will be our last visit there for a very long time and would recommend not to use this particular Harvester, as there are many so much better. We shall now use the Beefeater more often as we find the quality of food so much better, especially after this experience.
