Very poor value for money. 4 chicken goujons and measley prawn cocktail with bread and unspreadable butter still very chilled for £5.29 each. Poor quality scampi...The pie was a decent size but too much pastry in contrast to the amount of filling. The food was cooked well so not the fault of the chef as portion sizes and quality of food would have been decided by someone else.
There was only one lady who had been there 5 days who was amazing and even served whilst she was on her break. The young man who was behind the bar didn't have a clue what he was doing and nearly over charged me and the lady I mentioned above had to come of her break to sort it out. The meal said coleslaw with it but there wasn't any and I was told there had not been any for a few weeks. I was not told this when I placed my order .I have stayed at the hotel 3 times .The first time the restaurant was good .... the second time it was closed due to staff shortage and this time short staffed and new staff .Please ensure that all staff are trained as its not fair for one person to be holding it altogether especially when she's only been there for 5 days.
Visited today, pub was empty about 5 other tables taken from what I saw. Ordered our food, quickly the kids came out, luke warm, my husband went to get his carvery, only beef left, we weren't warned about this when ordering. Again this was luke warm. I waited another half hour for my veggie roast to come out, after asking for it twice. Asked for extra veggie gravy, it never tuned up. Ordered the kids pudding, a simple chocolate brownie and ice cream.... Another half hour wait and had to ask two members of staff. Plates weren't cleared until puddings finally came out. Two mangers walking around not doing much, could see all the dirty tables but didn't clear them or ask other staff too either. Been eating and drinking at Heathside 20+ years. Never again. Honestly never experienced bad service or food anywhere like that today!
Sunday Carvery 12.00 noon. Booked in advance. Not ready. No one at bar when they did turn up didn't know how or where to find/ make cocktail. No receipt given at til said its broken. Manager rocks up late when you raise your complaints states staffing issues. Funny said this a couple of months ago when we went. Food finally served at 12.30. Roast potatoes cold and oil soaked. Beef over cooked and burnt, not enjoying at all. Won't be going back and wouldn't recommend and still awaiting receipt.
Shocking .. Went here with a friend to have dinner . 1 all the ale draught was off so nothing to drink. 2 the starter and the main wernt cooked properly and stone cold, 3 the desert came out and went to the wrong table, instead of the occupants saying it was theirs they decided to keep it and have for themselves. Lost for words!!! The replacement deserts then took another 30mins to come.when questioned the staff couldn't answer why for any of the above. I don't think the staff on duty were to blame just very short staffed and not enough training . I ask to speak with a manager to no avail.
I don’t recommend to eat here, I’ve had dinner a sirloin stake and I’ve asked for medium rare, came blue! The waitress said will cook it another one for us, unlikely the kitchen was closed at 9:30pm even if they telling online or over the phone the kitchen is closing at 10pm. Also the service was unavailable bad, I’ve asked for a strawberry daiquiri and she couldn’t find it in the system, then she asked me “do you wanna come and find it?” Just to clarify it didn’t sound like a joke, her tone was rude! Worst experience ever!!
This must rate as one of the he most miserable meal experiences of all time. The food was appalling.Avoid at all opportunity. Apparently even the guests at the premier Inn go to the keebab shop up the road rather than eat here.
We went without booking a table Chelsea the manager was very efficient and welcoming the food was excellent and good value and we had a great time
Held a little get together there for my daughters birthday, & all the staff were fantastic x the food was superb! Can't wait to return
Had veggie option at no extra price so brilliant thank you not penalised for veggie. Staff couldn't have been anymore helpful. Lovely thank you. Vegetarian options: Perfect no extra cost. Parking: Own car park disabled bay need to be marked clearly. Wheelchair accessibility: Good.
