I was doing a charity walk from Liverpool to Hull this week and stopped here for lunch. The landlady and the staff there were amazing, even giving me a free lunch of fish and chips, which were fantastic and a little too big for me to finish. Anyone who knows me, knows that I do not normally leave any meal, so this is a huge compliment to the value of the menu. Thank you once again for the hospitality afforded to me. It was much appreciated and I'll see you again soon with the whole family.

Fantastic Pub.Lovely people - Chris & Chrissy can not do enough to help you. Helpful pleasent staff. Food is really good. We are having our Wedding reception here in July 2018.

Friendly staff and atmosphere. Great food with big portions, had a chicken burger and it was nice to have a proper side salad served with it, with feta and dressing. Great gin selection too !

Dropped on this little gem whilst out with the family last Sunday afternoon. Chrissie & her team couldn't have made us feel more welcome. The food was excellent & the service first class! They also have a special blend of grapefruit gin but because I was driving Chrissie kindly gave me a sample to take away! It was gorgeous!! Would highly recommend dropping in on this place! Will defo be calling in again! Many thanks Chrissie for your kindness & generosity!!

Great pub, good location and great food at reasonable prices. If you like steak and ale pies, this one should be right up there
