Very nice dog friendly independent cafe. Loads of indoor seating and a couple of outdoor tables. Lovely bagels and coffee, and cake looked very tempting but resisted. Great service and clean. Lost a star as at £20+ for 2x coffees/bagels/crisps expensive.
A nice cafe, comfortable and a nice atmosphere. I think we were unlucky with our visit as the coffee machine wasn't working and the poached eggs were overcooked, however the rest of the food was delicious.Food: 3/5
First time in Harpenden and had a lunch break in this cute local coffee shop. I told them I’m gluten and dairy free and they were absolutely lovely and offered me gluten free bread and made my scrambled eggs with oil instead of butter. My toast was delicious! They also have gluten free cakes and obviously their latte with almond milk is a must try it was tasteful Dietary restrictions: Gluten free dairy free vegan and vegetarian
Really speedy service. Gets very busy over lunchtime as you'd expect, so not great for quiet working space but good atmosphere overall. Not much phone signal, so if you need to take calls it's not ideal.Food: 4/5
Amazing coffee and really friendly staff. A great family business to support local. Nice food menu too. Will be going again. Good amount of seating inside and tables outside the front. They offer lots of different milk alternatives.

Had a lovely morning coffee with my husband and 1 year old recently. Was made very welcome with little one and enjoyed a really rich filter coffee with a cute little milk churn to the side. Tasted and looked great. We all enjoyed our visit in a very relaxed environment. Great blueberry muffin also. Thank you!
First time visiting Brew and Cru, a very unpleasant experience. Very poor customer service as soon as you walk in, the one barista was busy on his phone and all the other staff are standing around twiddling their thumbs. Ordered the shakshuka which was watery slop. Extremely bland, no taste, tasted like diluted tomato passata.
very good vegan options and a great experience. OK so it is very busy so you may need to loiter for a table or you can sit outside. Even so, I would highly recommend this place and will be frequenting it more often. Also good kids options, plenty of sweet treats on display, reasonably priced!
Great coffee and breakfast! Love the ambience at this place. Most importantly, they both allow and actively support dogs in the coffee shop. Made my visit with our Cavalier, Charlie really nice! You should try this place!
